Arthur Baker could see the fleeting disappointment on Kevin Gregory's face.
As a fellow man, he understood that feeling well...
Because, once upon a time, he had experienced the same thing.
When he watched Sofia Hamilton harbor feelings for Ryan Gregory, knowing she'd eventually return to him, his feelings were probably much like Kevin's now.
Perhaps Kevin genuinely liked Aurelia.
But even so, what of it?
Should he give up Aurelia and throw away the chance he had just gained?
With Kevin's mother's money, his chance to make a comeback increased significantly...
Maybe something that would take ten years could be achieved in just one or two...
Arthur suppressed any unnecessary thoughts, sticking firmly to his initial plans.
He held his phone and returned.
Aurelia walked out with a smile, handing him a bottle of juice, "Who was it?"
Arthur frowned, silent for several seconds, before raising the corners of his mouth, "Nothing, wrong door."
