"Just consider it my compensation to you," she said with a smile, speaking lightly, encapsulating her feelings in one sentence. Little did he know, during the days of his absence, during the days he refused to see her, how much she blamed herself.
Arthur Baker frowned, wanting to return the item to her, "No way, I can't take your stuff."
Just as he was about to give it back to her, she refused to accept it.
"If you feel awkward, just consider it a loan, or I can treat it as an investment in you. When you return it, you can double it. Does my business sound profitable?"
"You really have that much faith in me? Aren't you afraid I'll lose all your money?" He smiled with a touch of self-deprecating bitterness.
Starting a company, seeking investment, is indeed very important.
However, at the very least, he has lost the trust essential for investment.
