Thus, his expression silently conveyed his approval of Alan Morgan's unspoken suggestion.

Had she misheard? Alan Morgan actually said Maxwell Peary was the CEO of MC Group.
"Are you kidding me?"
Nia Mitchell shot Alan Morgan a contemptuous look and plopped down onto the sofa. "Uncle Peary is indeed quite wealthy, but to say he's the CEO of MC Group? Do you enjoy fooling me? And to lie right in front of Uncle Peary? Such a fabrication would be debunked in minutes, wouldn't it?"
Alan Morgan's eyes widened. He turned to look at Maxwell Peary and shrugged slightly. It wasn't his fault; this young lady simply refused to believe it.
Pouting, Nia Mitchell turned her head to look at Maxwell Peary, then reached out and patted his head.
