Group A quickly got busy. In contrast, Group B was incredibly relaxed.
"Just as I thought, our General Manager Evelyn Peary is still so biased. The capable work more. Secretary Walker, you have it tough."
Shirley Grant sat aside, smiling as she examined her fingernails. Umm, if I'm free tonight, it looks like I need to get my nails done.
Phoebe Walker's face turned shades of livid and red upon hearing this.
"There's nothing to be done. General Manager Evelyn Peary has always valued me highly."
She had to swallow her pride and endure it. Her pay grade and Shirley Grant's were the same, yet she often had to do much more work than Shirley.
Shirley Grant chuckled, her eyes full of derision.
"What a pity. You all can only have fast food for lunch today. Look how skinny each of you is."
She casually gestured towards them and shrugged helplessly.
"Thanks for your kind intentions, but being slim is the beauty standard now. Weren't you the one always clamoring to lose weight?"
