Did Maxwell Peary's threat work after all?
After hanging up the call, Nia Mitchell awkwardly looked at Diana Hill, who was sitting across from her.
"A friend is looking for me. I have to leave now."
Nia Mitchell put down her chopsticks. Though she hadn't had her fill, she had no choice.
"Won't you finish eating first?"
Diana Hill looked at her curiously. What kind of friend would make her leave halfway through a meal?
"I'm not eating anymore. I have to go. Bye."
Nia Mitchell left in a rush and appeared in Maxwell Peary's Office Room in just five minutes.
"HUFF... HUFF... You... you're so unreasonable—"
Nia Mitchell was gasping for breath. She flung open the Office Room's Grand Gate. She looked at Maxwell Peary, who sat leisurely on the sofa, her entire body trembling slightly.
Seeing her standing at the door, Maxwell Peary immediately stood up from the sofa and walked over to her.
"You should have walked slowly. Why did you run over here?"
