Upon hearing Nia Mitchell's question, Sophia Moore simply smiled.
"I'm sorry. The report just arrived from the Financial Department; there was nothing I could do."
Sophia shrugged, feigning innocence.
Although Nia knew she was doing it on purpose, there was nothing she could do.
After all, she was just a junior employee in the Secretary Department, while Sophia was the Head Secretary.
Since the task was ultimately impossible to finish, Nia didn't bother rushing.
"I'm sorry, but it's not working hours yet."
Nia didn't even glance at Sophia. She sat down at her desk and pulled out her phone.
She was curious to see if Sophia could really escape responsibility once the workday ended and the report wasn't ready for the CEO to sign.
As expected, Sophia hadn't anticipated that Nia would simply give up on salvaging the situation and refuse to be rushed.
