Maxwell Peary, his face dark, pulled her little paw away from his chest and shot her a disgruntled look.
"OUCH!"
Nia Mitchell also realized this, and her expression stiffened a bit as she registered what she had just been thinking.
"I didn't mean to..."
She stuck out her tongue, her cute expression enough to make anyone's heart flutter.
"Nia Mitchell, I ask you, do you genuinely want to have a child for me?"
Maxwell Peary was exceptionally serious, but his words were enough to make one's face flush and heart race.
Nia Mitchell blinked, stunned, somewhat unsure of what he was trying to say. Could he stop being so dead serious?
"Yes."
She replied with equal seriousness, then carefully observed the CEO's expression.
But could she really discern the CEO's expression so easily?
After they finished lunch, Evelyn Peary didn't reappear, so Maxwell Peary left, taking Nia Mitchell with him.
