「Hospital—」
Only when you're waiting do you realize how agonizingly slow time can be. Nia Mitchell had been waiting outside for twenty minutes. With her hands clenched tightly, she sat there, as if on pins and needles, unsure of what to do.
"Are you worried about me?"
Suddenly, she heard Edbert's voice as a large shadow loomed over her.
Nia Mitchell immediately tilted her head up, looking at Edbert who stood before her.
Seeing his pale face, her lips quivered.
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
He smiled, reaching out to touch her face.
"I'm fine; it's just a bite on the shoulder."
He comforted her again. Nia listened and nodded, but tears still shimmered in her eyes.
"You're making it sound so trivial! Who asked you to go and block it?"
She pounded his arm angrily. And he was still smiling so casually!
"It's nothing. I've had the antivenom, so the poison is neutralized. How about you treat me to a meal?"
Edbert's voice was extraordinarily relaxed, and he smiled at Nia.
