Nia Mitchell crouched there, her face red, unsure how to make him leave.
"Sweetie, don't crouch, or your legs will go numb."
He felt a twinge of pity for her. Crouching on the floor like that must have been very uncomfortable.
Hearing the CEO's words, she bit her lip.
"I bought you cotton candy," Maxwell Peary started to coax her.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Nia Mitchell lowered her hands from her face, her large, moist eyes fixed on the cotton candy before her.
It really is!
Uncle Peary actually hadn't forgotten about this.
She had assumed he was furious about what happened at University A this morning.
He'd clearly been so angry he'd stormed right off then.
"Uncle…" Suddenly, Rabina was overcome with emotion, her voice thick and nasal.
"Quick, get up." Seeing her still crouching, Maxwell Peary reached out to pull her up.
"Don't!" Flustered, Nia Mitchell immediately placed the cotton candy she had just taken back into Maxwell Peary's hands.
