Everyone in the Mitchell family was stunned. No one had expected the man who walked in to be the Mayor.
Molly Harguez sat dumbfounded, staring at the middle-aged man, her face darkening. She never thought her casual words would offend a mayor. It was unimaginable, terrifying.
"What's wrong?" the Mayor asked his wife, puzzled about what had just happened.
"Nothing. It's just this family. They're too annoying, constantly making a fuss, and they even argued with me," the Mayor's wife said, shooting Molly Harguez a disdainful look. She'd never met such a hateful person.
The Mayor glanced towards Nia Mitchell, then at Aldy Mitchell lying in the hospital bed, before his gaze finally settled on Molly Harguez.
