After hearing what Nia Mitchell said, Molly Harguez had the audacity to spew such words. She was shameless to the extreme.
Nia truly couldn't bear it anymore and took a deep breath. "Shameless!"
Wasn't she saying all this to stand up for the Mitchell family? If she hadn't spoken up, the Mayor would probably have seen them as pushovers and manipulated them as he pleased. And here, Molly only knew how to shirk responsibility. What a pig-headed ally!
"Your family is really quite interesting, isn't it?" Even the Mayor saw the problem, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Since you dared to threaten me, you will bear the responsibility. Don't think this matter can be so easily dismissed," the Mayor said with fury, unable to conceal his rage any longer. Having been in power for so long, he couldn't tolerate any dissent.
"Fine. I'll be waiting. And don't think this matter will pass so easily for you either. I'll make sure you bear the responsibility you deserve," Nia shot back.
