Molly Harguez pushed open the door and walked in just then, her eyes immediately falling on Nia Mitchell, who was standing there.
She looked around but didn't see any sign of Maxwell Peary.
"Where's Young Master Peary?" Molly asked curiously, looking at Nia and then scanning the room again.
"He has left," Nia, seated, replied expressionlessly.
"Left? How could you let him leave?" Molly immediately grew agitated. Young Master Peary rarely visited, and she hadn't even had the chance to properly play the host. How could Nia just let him leave?
Nia frowned and shot her an annoyed look.
What did it matter to Molly whether Maxwell had left or not? Really.
Just then, something caught Nia's attention: Molly's clothes. They weren't the ones she had worn last night, and they looked brand new.
"Did you go out first thing this morning just to buy clothes?" When this thought occurred to Nia, her eyes widened in disbelief.
