Maxwell Peary walked out of the bathroom with a basin of warm water, only to see Nia Mitchell lying on the bed with her eyes closed.
Thinking she was asleep, he moved cautiously, not making any noise.

At this thought, the corners of her lips curved slightly.
Maxwell carefully removed her shoes, then her socks.
