Vera Wave stepped into an empty elevator car, shaking her head slightly with a faint smile. Truth be told, she rather admired Kylo for her talent. Her previous proposal wasn't bad either; it just didn't fit this particular project.
They were in the same department, seeing each other all the time. Vera didn't want a strained relationship with Kylo, but the way things were going, Vera had undoubtedly become a thorn in Kylo Sail's side.
"I'm a bit confused. It's just an office; isn't she overreacting?"
"This is more than just about an office. I heard Director Palmer might be planning to have a baby and could resign. Moving you to Manager Zhou's office sounds like they're grooming you for a promotion." Merlin Bradley leaned against the elevator wall and reached out to grasp Vera's arm. "Future Manager Wave, I'll be counting on you from now on!"
