He raised his hand and lightly pinched her cheek, "Because you always like to sneak a touch on me."
She pouted, "Impossible."
"What's impossible about it?"
"It's just impossible!" She lifted her little face, "Even if I touch, I do it openly and honestly!"
He burst into laughter.
His Vera was finally back!
After a moment, he took off his clothes and soaked in the bathtub. Vera pulled up a small wooden stool to sit nearby, using a bath sponge to help wash him, and then she asked him how they met and who pursued whom first...
"Your handsome husband here, obviously you pursued me first!"
"So, how did I pursue you?"
Kris Cooper lightly lifted the corners of his lips, watching her with a sideways glance.
"You didn't do anything. You just stood on the stairs and smiled at me, and I surrendered to you obediently."
She laughed lightly.
"Nonsense."
