After waiting for a moment without getting his response, Sally Dalton pressed her lips together.
"I should go, goodbye, Nathan Leafcastle!"
Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward, trying to walk past him.
The man hesitated for a moment, but finally extended his hand, grabbed hers, and pulled her into his arms.
"Sally, don't leave me."
After leaving the restaurant, he only felt a loneliness he had never experienced before.
Now, he needed a hug to give him a bit of warmth.
"I know you've always been good to me over the years, just give me a little more time, okay?"
Feeling his arms tightly around her, Sally Dalton hesitated for a while, but finally extended her hand gently to hold his waist.
"Alright."
Upon hearing the word "Alright," Nathan Leafcastle felt a weight lifted from his heart.
"Thank you!" Holding her, his voice was sincere, "Thank you, Sally."
Resting her chin gently on his shoulder, Sally Dalton just smiled softly.
"You don't need to be formal with me."
