Flossie Wright wasn't very lucky. As soon as she arrived at the village entrance, a torrential rain poured down, the raindrops as big as beans crashing down forcefully.
She hadn't brought a hat when she came out. Flossie looked up at the sky, then quickened her pace.
With some careful maneuvering, she shook off the two guards at the village entrance and slipped inside smoothly.
Ten minutes later, Flossie stopped a local villager in his tracks.
The villager was dragging firewood, completely soaked through, having just come down from the mountains. It seemed he had taken a fall along the way, with quite a bit of mud smudged on his clothes.
"Whoa—"
The villager was startled by her sudden appearance.
Flossie's condition wasn't much better.
She was lightly dressed, just a short sleeve and a jacket, the clothes thin as they were, got soaked through in no time from the pouring rain. Luckily, her clothes were all black, so the wet spots weren't too noticeable.
