She looked at Turner and asked, "Have the tests been completed?"
"Yes, but the results for the uterine biopsy won't be available until tomorrow."
"Okay."
Elly Campbell nodded, got off the examination bed, and calmly assessed her physical condition. She didn't feel any discomfort for the time being.
Yet, she hadn't completely set aside her suspicions and just chatted casually with Chief Wood:
"I heard from Turner that she also graduated from Harvard, which makes her my junior in a way."
"Isn't that so? Our clinic is certainly brimming with talent."
Chief Wood's face showed a bit of undisguised pride.
"Turner is really beautiful. Does she have a boyfriend? How about I introduce someone to her?"
She also began to adopt the social tactics typical of small-town busybodies.
Chief Wood laughed and chimed in:
"Turner, you should seize this opportunity. Dr. Campbell knows a bunch of great young guys around her. If she introduces one to you, you'll definitely be satisfied."
