After thinking for a bit, he started to make things up again.
"Of course not. It's because your mom likes you so much. She couldn't bear to let you have your dad's surname. Your mom's surname is Campbell, and so is yours, which means your mom likes you more. If you don't believe me, you can ask your mom when you go back."
Hearing this, William Campbell's eyes indeed lit up, "Really?"
"Of course it's true. Uncle is your big hero who saved you; a big hero wouldn't lie."
Upon hearing this, little William was indeed happy again.
