It means she knows what's happening to her and how serious it is, but she doesn't want to tell him.
Why...
They have been through so much to be together, why wouldn't she tell him when she encountered something so serious?
Does she think he is too useless, unable to do anything about her illness?
Adam Jones felt a lump in his throat as he stared at the surveillance footage in silence.
Even after so many health checks, the results are still inconclusive. Is it really an illness, or is there something else Elly might be hiding from him?
"Boss?"
Robert Green noticed something was off about Adam's expression and called out with a hint of concern.
Adam snapped out of his thoughts, "There's nothing for you to do here, go get some rest."
"Yes, Boss."
As he left, Robert Green still glanced at him uneasily before quietly departing.
