Long ago, in a time when there was only chaos and emptiness, a single egg formed within the swirling void.
From that egg emerged a being that would later be known as Arceus.
After awakening, Arceus began shaping existence itself. To assist in the creation of the universe, it brought forth three powerful beings: Dialga, who governs time; Palkia, who controls space; and Giratina, who rules over antimatter.
With their help, the universe was formed.
When the task of creation was complete, the three returned to their own dimensions. However, due to its violent and unstable nature, Giratina was banished to the Distortion World, a dimension separate from reality.
Before Arceus withdrew to its own realm, it created several other Pokémon to guide and influence life throughout the universe.
Among them were Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, who later shared their traits; knowledge, emotion, and willpower with all living beings.
Elsewhere, Kyogre and Groudon shaped the planet by filling the oceans and forming the continents. High above the world, Rayquaza flew within the ozone layer, protecting the planet from meteors and cosmic threats.
Meanwhile, the colossal Regigigas moved the continents themselves, arranging the landmasses that would eventually become the regions known today.
Millions of years passed. Civilizations emerged.
Among them, humans advanced rapidly, developing technology far beyond what earlier generations could imagine. Eventually, they created tools capable of capturing even powerful Pokémon.
The PokéBall was created.
At first, it symbolized cooperation between humans and Pokémon. But as technology advanced, ambition grew alongside it.
Soon, capturing Legendary Pokémon was no longer considered impossible.
One by one, powerful beings who maintained the balance of the world were sealed inside PokéBalls.
Even the Pokémon that represented order itself Zygarde could do little as the balance between humans and Pokémon collapsed.
The world fell into chaos. And eventually It was destroyed.
Seeing this tragedy unfold, Arceus recreated the world once again. But this time, it made a change.
To prevent history from repeating itself, Arceus created clones of itself, beings tasked with watching over the world and observing the balance of life.
Millions of years passed once more.
And once again… The same patterns of imbalance began to appear.
To prevent another catastrophic destruction, Arceus established a new system:
The Guardian System.
Guardians were chosen individuals tasked with maintaining balance in the world. They would work alongside the Legendary Pokémon of each region to preserve harmony between humans, Pokémon, and nature.
Each Guardian represented the region where they were chosen.
However, there was one exception. The Sinnoh Region had no Guardian.
To become a Guardian, a candidate had to face trials designed by the Legendary Pokémon of that region. Every region had its own unique trials, each meant to test different qualities.
But could anyone become a Guardian? The answer was no.
There was one requirement that eliminated 99.99% of all people from even attempting the trials.
A single condition that set candidates apart from everyone else in the world.
To qualify… One must be someone from another world. Even then, being an outsider was only the beginning.
Those chosen still had to survive and overcome the trials set by the Legendary Pokémon themselves.
Failure was common.
Because of this, it wasn't unusual for a region to remain without a Guardian for centuries.
A prime example was the Kalos Region.
For five hundred years, Kalos had been without a Guardian.
The reason for this absence traced back to a tragic incident involving the previous Kalos Guardian, an event so severe that the Legendary Pokémon of the region were forced to change the rules of their trials.

"Guardian… huh…"
Inside the ancient library, I sat quietly at one of the long wooden tables, muttering to myself while holding a book in my hands.
It had been nearly a year since I accepted the challenge to read every book inside this library.
And now… I had already finished almost seventy percent of them. At this pace, I could probably finish everything within the next two months.
The book I was currently reading was something like a historical record. It had been given to me by the floating glass orb in the center of the library, though at this point, I had started calling it the Bookkeeper.
When I told it about my progress earlier, it had been visibly surprised when I mentioned that I was close to finishing most of the books from this library.
After recovering from its shock, it handed me this book.
Well… to be fair, reading quickly wasn't exactly new to me. Even in my previous life, I could read extremely fast and memorize information with ease. Compared to that, finishing these books faster than expected wasn't particularly surprising.
Still… The content of the book in my hands was far more shocking than the reading speed itself.
So the world had already been destroyed once before…
Honestly, though, it wasn't that hard to believe.
After all… We were talking about humans.
Humans were naturally greedy creatures. The more they possessed, the more they desired. Status, wealth, power, none of it was ever enough. As long as they had the means to obtain more, their hunger would only continue to grow.
And now that creatures called Pokémon existed, beings with incredible power, it was only natural that some humans would try to control that power.
If things continued down that path…True peace would probably never exist.
As for the book itself…
Although it described the creation of the world and the balance maintained by legendary beings like Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, there was also something else written here.
Information that humans should never be able to know. For example… the destruction of the world itself.
That kind of knowledge simply couldn't exist in ordinary human records.
Which meant the author of this book was probably not human. Maybe it was written by a Pokémon who knew the truth.
Someone connected to the one who created this place. Someone like the mysterious orb floating at the center of the library. The being that called itself the keeper of these books.
If I really wanted confirmation, I would have to ask it directly later.
Still… Among everything written here, one particular section caught my attention the most.
The Guardians.
So this was the request that Arceus had mentioned to me shortly after I arrived in this world. He wanted me to take the trial to become one of these so-called Guardians.
…What a bold request.
Especially when you consider the kind of things I had done back in my previous world.
And now that same being expected me to protect this one?
"Hahaha…" I couldn't stop myself from laughing quietly.
"Arceus… you're really funny."
But after the laughter faded, my smile remained.
Still…You were the one who gave me a second chance to exist in this world. So if this is the role you want me to play… Then I'll gladly fulfill your request.
And honestly… If someone like me is allowed to become one of the protectors of the world, then I'm curious about the other Guardians.
What kind of people are they? Do they also have pasts like mine?
Maybe… One of them might even be someone I knew before.
Just thinking about meeting them someday made me strangely excited.
Smiling to myself, I lowered my gaze and continued reading the book.
Completely unaware that from somewhere high above the library…
Something was quietly watching me.

A/N:
Okay guys, WinterSkys here. I know it's been a while since I last updated my story. There have been a few times I've thought about writing something, but I've been busy with work so there hasn't been much time to write. So regular update might be difficult for a while .
Now that Noah has a clear picture of Arceus' request, what will happen next? Also, who's watching him? What's the identity of that orb that seems to know so much? Stay tuned for the next chapter.
If you like my story please write in the comment ,or add to collection 😆.
