After dinner, Amelia Clarke went to the front courtyard and immediately saw Sophia Wilson holding Years By Years, weaving through the flower bushes. Thomas and Arthur were being carried by Auntie Johnson and Aunt Taylor, respectively. Sophia had a red maple leaf in her hand, teasing Years By Years, who laughed with his mouth wide open.
Mason Carter and Leon Carter were chasing a soccer ball on the lawn.
Mr. Clark was dragging a hose, washing a car in the open area. It was a lively and vivid scene.
Amelia Clarke stood quietly under the loggia, watching.
Mason Carter was the first to notice her. He immediately dropped the soccer ball and Leon, running over. Unknowingly, he seemed to have grown taller again. Wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts with large pockets, his fair and handsome face was covered in sweat, his pair of dark, bright eyes shining.
