"I said." Finn Wilson stepped forward a few steps, flicking the ash from his cigarette with his right hand by his side. As the ashes fell, he trapped Viola Harris between himself and the wall, "I want you to be Nick's mom."
The subtle scent of men's cologne filled Viola's nostrils, and her heart betrayed her by quickening its pace.
She met Finn's gaze without backing down, "What makes you think, Mr. Wilson, that I'd be willing to be a stepmother to your son? Especially since... his mother and I have a grudge."
"What grudge? I'll help you settle it." Finn took a puff of his cigarette, tilting his head to the side to blow out the smoke.
Back then, Timothy Grant had taken advantage of Viola's vanity to scheme against her, almost leading her to ruin by a stranger.
