Jasmine Hughes was infuriated, completely forgetting Mrs. Hughes' advice. She stormed into the Front Courtyard just as James Harris and Mr. Harris returned from the city. Mrs. Harris and Viola Harris were with them, and Viola was whispering something, their expressions serious.
Jasmine's arrival was quite disruptive, and as they turned to look, Jasmine felt she saw calculation and contempt in their eyes, though perhaps it was just her imagination.
