Whether it was Zhou Tian or those True Gods giving orders, those deities who accepted assignments were well aware that rashly joining Zhou Tian and their conflict, given their strength, would most likely result in Death within that conflict. Based on the situation at the time, unless they abandoned their original plans, once they joined Zhou Tian's Battle Situation, it would be a guaranteed fatal outcome.
Although there were deities who took assignments purely for personal gain, it was believed that eighty percent of the deities accepted those tasks more for the benefit of their descendants. Based on the situation then, for the sake of relatives or disciples, some deities with a Death wish did not mind accepting Zhou Tian's assignments before dying.
