That True God did want to do so, but considering Zhou Tian's own strength was on par with his, at most he could defeat Zhou Tian; to kill him was not an easy task. With the power Zhou Tian controlled at that time, if he dared to confront him directly, he would likely have to fight Zhou Tian and all his Heavenly Gods alone.
Even though that True God could sense that Zhou Tian's strength was at the bottom tier among True Gods, few deities could actually pose a threat to him without considering attribute counteractions. Still, even though that True God was confident he could defeat Zhou Tian, he did not believe he could defeat Zhou Tian and his large army by himself.
If he led his deities in pursuit, given Zhou Tian's previous performances, the True God could predict that, when he went out to chase and kill, he would most likely face a series of futile efforts, rather than a hard battle.
