Is it really that straightforward?
The reality is far from that. The reason Zhou Tian and his allies could easily kill the Heavenly Gods, opponents to the special giants, is partly due to their powerful strength. However, the main reason was that Zhou Tian's rule abilities won't let the giants' abilities counteract them. It's this very reason that led to that situation.
Although True Gods are indeed stronger than Heavenly Gods, in terms of actual strength, Heavenly Gods are by no means weaker than those giants. The reason they were not the opponents at the time was mainly because their attack methods didn't have much effect on those giants. Conversely, when the giants, relying on their physical conditions, launched an attack, no Heavenly God could confidently say they could ignore that threat.
