The workers at Morning Glory Ranch were herding the cattle back. The cows hadn't even made it into the pens when someone who returned early whispered some news to them, prompting the group to gather around and start whispering among themselves.
"Is that the president of the State Meat and Livestock Association?" Luke asked quietly, with a hint of disbelief in his voice.
"Yeah, haven't you seen the news? His name is Zachary Hebrew," Ethan said in a boastful tone, as if knowing the state president made him impressive, though in reality, who would even know who he was!
"The boss is amazing; he's only been here for a short time, and he's already got the state president following him down here!"
"Yeah! That president seems very approachable too. Looking at our boss as if he's his boss..."
"Really, could it be something happened with our president again?"
"Could it be last night's beef? Didn't you notice how especially beautiful it looked?"
