The pear tree absorbed the Life Force and immediately withered at a speed visible to the naked eye. The withering of the pear tree caused the entire tree to rapidly decay, and the people standing on the tree immediately fell off, some getting bruised and battered.
But these people quickly jumped up. They ignored the pain, staring at the disappearing pear tree and shouting, "This tree... what happened to the tree?"
"My pears, ah, my pears!"
Someone cried out in pain while the pear in his hand suddenly turned to ash.
"This is retribution, it's all retribution. It must be Heaven witnessing your evil and deliberately punishing you. If you had queued in order, not scrambling, picking the pears from the tree one after another, there's enough pears on the tree for everyone to have one, everyone to be full. But, alas, you were too greedy, wanting all the pears for yourselves. Heaven would not tolerate it and took away all the pears, took away the pear tree."
