ALDRIC'S POV
"You were supposed to protect the Princess. Do you have any idea how crucial of a mistake you've made? Do you know what the King will do to us if the Princess is confirmed to have died in the fire?"
The knight fell on his knees and begged. "Please Your Grace, I apologize, I have made a grave mistake,"
"I should have you killed right here and now for your incompetence." He said as he kicked him whilst he was on the floor. "We can't even search the building for the remains until the fire stops completely!" he continued kicking.
I shook my head in disapproval and walked away from them. I looked at the burning building as I considered what the knight had just told me.
I was suspicious of the circumstances of the princess going missing. How convenient was it that the fire started right when the princess had gone to the restroom away from the safety of the other knights that were present and then 'David' tells the other knight to leave...
