Amelia's POV
I stirred in my sleep when I heard the sound of footsteps. I slowly opened my eyes and found Liam walking around the room holding Abigail in his arms. He was slowly patting her back while walking forth and back. I couldn't help but smile seeing the sight in front of me. It was something that I could see a thousand times and never get bored of it.
Waking up in the middle of the night, hearing the sound of Abigail's cry has become a habit of ours. But what surprised me most was how Liam adapted to this new lifestyle in such a short time. Like he had been practicing to be a good dad for his whole life. Even though, it had been only a month since we brought her home.
When I went into labour, it was incredibly hard. I never imagined I would experience such pain, it was like my whole was breaking apart at the same time. Even Liam was terrified, seeing me like this.
