Chapter 5 - Meeting The Lucifuge!

[Underworld: Bael Ballroom]

(3rd Person Pov)

The heir to the Belzzebub household panicked at Sirzechs words as he yelled.

"What do you mean you denied me the rights to use my magic?! How could you even do that!?"

All eyes in the room fell on Sirzechs and the heir as Sirzechs answered.

"How I did it doesn't matter. What matters now is you don't kill your servant in this ball room."

The Belzzebub heir looked even more furious as he questioned.

"And who are you to question who I let live or die!? You may be from a Duke family, but the Beelzebub's far outranks your family as Devil Royals."

Sirzechs hummed as he calmly answered.

"I could care less who you choose to let live or die. However this is an event set up by the Bael household. Do you think they would appreciate a rotting bug filled corpse staining their ballroom? I simply prevented you from angering the Bael family for killing a servant and ruining this gathering of heirs all because you wanted the Bael's personal wines?

Or do you believe the Beelzebub household's heir is deserving of their finest wines solely because you are the heir?

If it had been Lord and Lady Beelzebub alongside yourself there may be a case argument for the Bael's to offer wine out of common decency despite their superior rankings, but an heir acting like they deserve their finest drinks? Is that not indirectly claiming the Beelzebubs are the superior Household?"

Sirzechs words silenced the Beelzebub heir who gritted his teeth before scoffing as he turned away and spoke.

"Be grateful worm. You get to live for the next few hours."

The Beelzebub heir Achlys glared at Sirzechs out of the corner of his eyes as he spoke.

"And you. Gremory scum. The next time we meet I'll make you regret humiliating me."

Sirzechs calmly smiled as he replied.

"Is that so? Then I'll keep you to your word."

Sirzechs words caused veins of fury to bulge all over the face of Achlys as he stormed off and the servant Sirzechs stopped from being killed thanked him.

"Thank you Lord Gremory for saving me."

Sirzechs shook his head as he replied.

"Don't thank me. I only delayed the inevitable. Once you leave this premise your fate is sealed. And my intervention probably will lead to a more painful death."

Sirzechs turned around and locked eyes with Rizevim who looked irritated at the outcome of the confrontation but doesn't bother to comment on it as he spoke.

"Colour me impressed boy. To be able to erase demonic power itself is no easy feat. Your mother trained you well. Alas, you are almost the perfect devil, but it seems the Gremory's pathetic "kindness" has also infected yourself. However, I can fix that.

Sirzechs said nothing at the elder devil's words as he continued walking back to Serafall and Ajuka.

"Listen well to my offer boy. I want you to be my protégé, you show great talent and potential. All you need now is just a little bit of training on how to be a true devil and your future will be bright. I'll even elevate the Gremory's as an official Satan clan family instead of just a lowly Duke. And a low ranking Duke at that."

Rizevim's words earned shocked gasps from everyone present as Sirzechs paused in his steps turned to face Rizevim and replied without missing a beat.

"I respectfully refuse. You may be an ancient and powerful devil, but you cannot teach me how to better master the Bael clans power unlike my mother. And elevating the Gremory's to a Satan Ranked Clan will prove to be a greater threat than staying as our current ranking as a low ranking Duke."

Rizevim narrowed his eyes as he spoke.

"What I have spoken is no longer a proposal, but a decree — one you shall accept, whether by will or by necessity."

Demonic Power that far eclipses the level of Satan class flooded the entire ballroom bringing everyone to their knees including Sirzechs who gritted his teeth as he answered with great difficulty.

"J-Just try I-It, I'll ensure I'll take…. (Grits teeth) you with me to me-et Death!"

Sirzechs glared at Rizevim but deep down, Sirzechs was terrified.

'And mom called me a monster. It feels like I'm standing in front of a solar eclipse that threatens to incinerate all that stands before it. Even if I go all out I don't think I could fight him head on, at least not yet.

He's not a Super Devil that much is clear. He's probably around the peak of Satan Class bordering on Super Devil territory but he has no ambition to grow further which is why he's not become the first Super Devil.'

Rizevim met Sirzechs gaze as he scoffed.

"You're head is held to high boy. You're standing in the presence of a pure blooded Lucifer and you dare to glare at me?"

(**KNEEL**)

An even greater pressure descended upon Sirzechs slamming him face first into the marble floor beneath himself.

(*FRACTURE*)

(*SHATTER!)

(*GASP*)

Sirzechs gasped as the air escaped his lungs.

'I need to escape! Use all my power to break free and kill this threat!'

Adrenaline flooded Sirzechs body as his survival instincts from his past life as a Staff Sergeant and his elevated Devil physiology boosting his past life's instincts took over deciding it needs to erase the greatest threat to ensure his own survival. His Demonic Power burst out his body increasing rapidly until it hit the peak of High Class and was about to increase past said level. However….

"Rizevim, that's quite enough don't you think so? The boy has been under the protection of the Bael family since birth. As a courtesy of my family's status and reputation, I would like you to reign in your demonic power."

Rizevim stared down the man before himself. Black hair and Violet eyes wearing a formal suit. The man carried himself like Royalty, the aristocratic air around himself unmistakable Rizevim huffed the devil before him was the first and still the only current head of the Bael clan Zekram Bael. A devil clan that possesses political power and influence far surpassing the four great Satans themselves as well as being feared and coveted for their inherited bloodlines power.

"Very well then Zekram, but only because it's you."

The intense pressure dissipated as Rizevim surppressed his Demonic Power once more and not even a second after the pressure was off of Sirzechs he raised his palm. However.

"Pointless."

Zekram spoke as Sirzechs magic circle dissipated unable to conjure itself as Sirzechs eyes widened in disbelief before finally registering the presence of the Bael head as Sirzechs took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He bowed respectfully as all eyes watched him curiously.

"Lord Bael. Thank you for your intervention."

Zekram just looked down upon Sirzechs and nodded his head.

"I'm impressed with how well my Daughter has taught you about our family's bloodlines power. Never would I expect to apply such a practical approach to our ability aside from total annihilation. Using our power to nullify magic. It seems like the millennium I've been alive for has dulled my creativity."

Sirzechs said nothing as Zekram continued.

"After this gala has ended, I would like to speak to you in private if that's alright."

Zekram's words were flat and polite, but Sirzechs could tell he can't say no for multiple reasons. The first being after what Zekram had just done for himself, the political scandal that would break if he refused to stay back and talk to Zekram Bael, and how it'd negatively affect the Gremory's, and the fact that the eyes of every heir present were now locked on himself proved far too risky to refuse.

Sirzechs placed a hand on his chest and bowed.

"I'm honoured to accept you're request Lord Bael."

Zekram Bael gazed at Sirzechs for a bit longer before nodding calmly.

"Excellent. I'll have one of my servants come to get you after this event."

Zekram then turned away from Sirzechs as Rizevim snorted and spoke a hideous mocking grin etched on the old devils face.

"You've got quite the monster you're trying to rope in Zekram. That one's unlike even those four. And extremely intelligent for his age, even already seeing through your little request. His parents has groomed the boy well. If he has that much demonic power and intelligence at his age, the next time I see him, he may already be a fun enough toy to amuse me."

Zekram said nothing as a teleportation circle appeared beneath himself bearing the sigil of the Bael house before he disappeared. And at the same time, Rizevim stood up from his throne in the ballroom as a sigil of the Lucifer household manifested itself beneath his feet. He turned to Sirzechs as he spoke.

I'll have a surprise waiting for you when you return home. I do hope you enjoy it."

At the exact moment he finished his sentence, the entire floor Rizevim stood on was engulfed in an insanely hot pillar of fire before dissipating as Sirzechs clicked his tongue. And where Rizevim once stood was now just a large hole of molten marble as Sirzechs muttered.

"I failed to kill him."

Sirzechs turned around and returned to where Serafall and Ajuka were, both heirs looking at him with worry where as everyone else looked at him with pure terror especially because of the dark expression he wore. Serafall looked hesitant as she questioned.

"Sirzechs…. Are you alright. I didn't expect that things would escalate so quickly…. Or for Lord Licifer and Lord Bael to take an interest in you."

Sirzechs nodded as he replied calmly.

"Thanks for your concern Sera. I'm fine, just had my ego bruised up a little. And if you'll forgive me, I have to take my leave early."

Serafall looked worried but merely nodded her head in understanding.

"Ok. Stay safe."

Ajuka stared at Sirzechs as he warned.

"Don't do anything stupid and reckless. You're powerful that much I can tell from what Lord Bael and Lucifer spoke of openly, but they aren't known as the strongest for nothing."

Sirzechs nodded his head.

"Mmh."

Sirzechs created a magic circle that teleported him straight back home where the first thing that he witnessed upon arriving in the living room was three figures along with his parents.

A silver haired man with a pair of silver eyes and a fearless face, next to him, was a young handsome looking boy with silver hair that is tied in a braided hairstyle. He wears a silver robe with detailed accessories. And finally.

'Grayfia Lucifuge. The woman who was Sirzechs wife. Honestly, between her and Serafall, I'd still take Serafall. At least she isn't as annoying by denying her status as Sirzechs wife just because her maid fetish wouldn't allow her to let it slide.'

Sirzechs shook his head as he pondered.

'That's besides the point. So this is the so called gift Rizevim had in store for me.'

Sirzechs eyes narrowed staring at the three as he placed a hand on his chest and bowed.

"Lord Lucifuge. It's a pleasure to have yourself and your children present in our manor. May I ask what brings the head of the Lucifuge household and his heirs to the Gremory estate?"

As Sirzechs waited for a reply he thought to himself.

'After I'm done with this situation I'll head straight to the land of Shadows. I've already wasted too much time remaining confined to the Underworld, and growing stronger is becoming more difficult.'
