"Yinyin, why don't you sit down for a while?" Secretary Jin looked at the chairs in the corridor and wanted Qin Yin to sit a bit. Since arriving here, she had been standing the whole time. With such a big belly, if she wasn't tired, the baby would be.
Qin Yin seemed not to hear at all, staring fixedly at the light of the Emergency room. Time passed second by second, but each second felt as long as a year, making one anxious and restless.
Madam Nan stared at Qin Yin's belly for quite a while, then stood up, went to the water dispenser, and got a cup of warm water, handing it to Qin Yin, saying, "Have some water first, sit down."
Qin Yin turned back dazedly to look at Madam Nan.
"Even if you don't feel tired, the baby might be. Sit down." Madam Nan said in a mild voice, without a hint of emotion.
Qin Yin took the water and sat down, quietly drinking the whole glass.
"Want more?" Secretary Jin asked.
Qin Yin shook her head.
