Chapter 77 - Chapter 76

10/9 14:52 (Autumn, Night, Mysterious Island)

Long strands of flesh erupted from the falling head, connecting with the rest of its limbs and forcibly rejoining them together in a single whole, making a facsimile of its previous form made of flesh before its scales slowly started to regrow around its new flesh.

If fell on its four limbs, claws digging in the floor beneath it before it rose up, new flesh devouring the old one and rebuilding itself in a better configuration, its new frame being quite a bit bigger than the previous one to compensate for the lenghts of flesh needed to join it back together.

The Werewolf did not hesitate, running back in before it was even close to done healing and raining down blow after blow on its body, electric shocks filling its body before the silver-eyed one jumped sideways, barely dodging the tail that tried to skewer her before clapping her hands together, the ground erupting up to briefly trap the tail, the Amazon landing on the tail before forming a long spike of Terran Lightning that impaled its tail.

Sider jumped from its tail, landing in an harsh kick against its still scaleless shoulder, her hands joining together in an hammer blow against the side of its face, near one of its eye and forcing it to lean away from her, her body twisting in mid-air to land an axe-kick right in the point that its neck connected with its new shoulder, forcing it down.

The clamp around its tail shattered as it used it to rebalance itself, its scales rippling outwards and expanding to cover even more of its flesh, its frontal limbs smashing upwards and sending the Amazon-blooded one right to the cealing, creating an imprint of her body because of the amount of force she suffered, her claws punching through the wall as she secured herself up, dodging the bite that would have closed around her if she let herself fall.

The black-haired one launched herself away from the wall just in time for the Drake close its mouth before opening it again, a beam of Mana crashing against the roof of their arena and shattering it, forming a hole that went right through it as she Werewolf fell, a long spear of lightning forming between her hands.

Said spear was quickly twisted around before she thrusted it in the former Wendigo's mouth, impaling its brain and at least temporarily stopping it from reacting, a long stone axe forming within her left hand, swinging at the head at full strenght while using her Unique Skill.

Sider's axe and her whole forearm shattered, sure, but with them so did the Drake's head, neck and the upper parts of its shoulder.

The black-haired one landed on her foot and stone cast, her silver eyes observing the swaying Monster, scowling when she saw it stop and stabilize even without an head.

"I suppose even a Fake-Cultivator is still a Cultivator deep down." She noted its lack of true weak points as her Qi Sense more deeply analyzed its body and the way its Qi flowed within its body.

Sabel, Mafel and Amber walked towards their temporary destination, the Dungeon they found, the Human decided to sate a curiosity she always possessed about one of her Mates. "So, Amber I had a curiosity before I was too…" Briefly her mind turned towards what exactly stopped her from asking this question, blushing brightly at the memories of last night's embrace. "distracted to ask. Isn't reproducing incredible hard when it comes to the immortal Races like Phoenixis and Demons, especially when a Human is not one of the parents? And you have two mothers, right? Isn't it even harder between People with the same sex?" Her voice sped up during her questioning.

"I would need quite a bit of time to explain everything, give me a little time." Amber started to explain, breathing in deeply, as Mafel started to pay attention, curios too now that her black-haired Mate asked. "First of all, both Angels and Demons are extra planar Entities like Spirits and Elementales, requiring a Vessel to inhabit to deal with the Rejection of this World. Angels mostly makes their own Vessels similarly to a Divinity, requiring a Person lending them their body.

"Demons' Vessels instead are most often created by the Demons themselves at the moment of being Summoned by using the offered Sacrifice as Materials while the Pact made during the Summoning functioning as an Anchor to further reduce the Rejection, with the strenght of the Vessel depending on the quality of the offered material. In my mom's case, her Vessel was made of my own mother's blood and Energy, helping explain their high compatibility together.

"Moving back to your question, beyond their compatibility, the term Succubus and Incubus is actually an incorrect simplification of the reality to explain Lust Demons. Demons are split between the Seven Deadly Sins and when it comes to the Lust specific ones, their gender and sex depends entirely on their will, being able to become male, female, both or neither as needed and to easily Mate with anything if they really want, the resulting child if born in a Material Plane being the Race of the other parent with some Demon blood flowing through their veins."

At the end of the long explanation by the Demon Phoenix, Mafel nodded, her own new curiosity being satisfied by the lenghty explaination provided to them, while Sabel instead was distracted by another, new question. "Hey, what is the difference between the Vessels of Angels, Demons, Spirits and Elementals?" She asked their resident expert on extra-Planar entities.

"Well, an Angel's control over their Vessel depends entirely on both the more effective for their purpose of the two Beings and the Pact between the two while the power it can output depends on the Angel's own power limited by the Vessel's Compatibility with the Angelic Entity and the power of the Vessel, with the addition of being able to use the full Status of the Person involved, including their Unique Skill if it is Awakened.

"The power that a Demon can output depends on the power of the Demon limited by the Quality of the Sacrificed Materials, the experience of the Demon in making a Vessel, the skill and strenght of the Summoner and the Pact between the two parties involved, with the addition of special characteristics of any specific Material involved in the Sacrifice, for example Phoenix's blood grants an increased Fire Affinity, regeneration speed and Resistance to both the Fire- and Holy-Attributes.

"Spirits to fully manifest have as an Anchor a Spiritual Mage's Soul with a Vessel made mostly out of Mana of the same Attribute as them, their power being limited by the Quality and Quantity of the Mana, their Affinity towards the Attribute and the Spiritual Arts themselves of the Person involved, without considering any particular Skill involved.

"Differently from the other three extra-Planar Entities, Elementals don't require any Vessel in particular, merely changing the amount of power it can output because of the affinity between the Elemental and the Vessel itself with no other factor in particular influencing it, either positively or negatively."

"I-I see. What do you think will happen with the Elemental within Luna?" Sabel asked curios and in so doing causing Amber to swallow.

"I don't want to think about it." The Phoenix commented, moving faster to evade thinking about it and in so doing signaling to her two Mates that this particular discussion was over.

Luna casually walked forward, letting the little fragment of a Soul within her guide her direction and being careful both not to move too fast so that those that believed themselves her hunters would have enough notice to prepare their trap while not being slow enough for them to suspect her of knowing about this trap.

Her fingers joining together behind her back, her index fingers tapping boredly against the back of her hands, her senses moving all over the place to seek either her opponents or if she could steal the secrets of the Grand Ritual against Vampires that was completed nearby.

The Lunarian stopped just upon stepping on the ground, her gaze focusing immediately as she felt the blood within her body slowly, drop after drop, being drained down in the ground beneath her, slowing down her Regeneration slightly.

The white-haired one stepped back, noting how the drain immediately stopped, and then moving sideways before advancing, trying to work out its maximum Range and its center, all this to more effectively analyze it but she quickly stopped, figuring out almost immediately that the effect was not circular but applied in an irregular pattern, probably to follow the shape of the long since destroyed fort.

Having understood that Luna didn't hesitate, passing throught the invisible border around it, paying attention towards the rate at which she was being drained, searching for the highest drain and following it, seeking both the center of this effect and the ambush awaiting her all at once, moving towards the remains of the fort that once stood here, passing beyond the long since crumbled wall that once protected it.

The red-eyed one enjoyed the scenery around her, a somewhat-empty looking smile on her face as her ears twitched, immediately jumping forward to evade a three meters long spear that impaled the area she was just in, her gaze immediately turning towards its origin and in so doing almost missing the second and third moving to impale her from a different direction, evading them only thanks to her reflexes, grabbing onto the second bolt and using it to deflect the third away from her.

As her smile widened slightly, a savage glint illuminating her fangs, she pointed towards the direction of the first fired bolt, launching a destructive sphere of Vital Mana, an explosion erupting in the distance, jumping backwards to dodge a lightning bolt that cratered the place she was just in, her gaze moving towards the Human now before her.

The first thing she noticed, and the thing that caused a burst of savage glee in her heart-equivalent, were the hate-filled yet concentrated blue eyes that tried to skewer her in place, his body masterfully cloaked by its Aura that mixed with the lightning covering his hands.
