Chapter 90 - Chapter 89

I apologize for my having missed last week's chapter but because of various factors based on my personal life, I couldn't post or even write properly.

Luna looked up at the three meters wide boulder falling down towards her, noting its slightly melted state and guessing the use of Grug's Vulcanic Might, her senses examining as Mark was briefly enveloped by a pink glow before being thrown away from the Lunarian, as Rose took advantage of Luna's need to deal with the mass of super-heated stones to rescue the Human.

The white haired one did not wait for the boulder to near her any further, stretching out her right hand towards the sky as a blade-like motive, winds accumulating around the limb, condensing together and then sharpening in a thin blade.

No-Attribute Altered Attributes had the effect of applying a compatible effect from a No-Attribute Spell on it; for example, Fire-Attribute converted Energy into more of itself; similarly, Earth-Attribute stores Energy so that it could later be used or released; Lightning-Attribute becomes pure and wild destructive power released towards a predetermined direction.

As Luna slashed her hand downwards, the blade followed her movement, launching what was nothing else then No-Attribute Altered Air-Attribute, a gust of wind condensing down and sharpening in a single line that severed the falling boulder in two, the cut continuing on to slash the ground beneath it, forming a fissure that went a good 25 cm deep.

Luna turned back towards Mark, ignoring the two halves of the rock that fell at either side of her body and immediately dashing after her prey, the layers of Black Blood surrounding her body appearing fully, intensifying, changing and unifying to become a single layer of armor, all of her Familiars transfering from her Rings to within her armor, using their Coordination to allow them to work together in this new configuration while at the same time recalling all of her blood that was not within an Artifact to herself, the only way for it all to have enough Durability for her plan to be successful.

Rock-like scales now covered Luna's body, horns crowning her head, all the while a pair of great, draconic yet feathered wings opened wide behind her back and a long prehensile tail swung at the air all around her; various lights bloomed all around her body, functioning as additional eyes to help analize both the situations she was in and her possible enemies.

An additional, light layer of white fur formed as a mane that covered her neck and some of her chest, bone coverings starting to cover and protect her body, at the same time accentuating her, before finally electric shocks and flames started to emanate from her.

Luna crossed the distance to Mark in an instant, her hairs left free to flow by her armor trailing behind her as she twisted around, her tail violently smashing against the Human's crossed arms, sending him flying back down to the ground, the red-eyed one flying in mid-air thanks to her wings, looking down on the Regressor.

Mark landed with a somersault, bleeding off the force caused by Luna's tail slam, even if this did not stop him from wincing upon feeling the burns on his arms, briefly moving one of his eyes to see the state of his arms, noting the mix of bruises, cuts and both electric and fire-based burns caused by the brief contact between the two.

Examining them only briefly, the blonde turned his full attention back to his opponent, watching how she was bent down slightly, flames erupting from around her body before it exploded, sending the Lunarian flying towards him.

The white haired one adjusted mid-flight, her wings and tail's narrowing in nearby to help regulate her flight as she rapidly released more and more flames, crossing the distance that separated the two of them.

Before the blue-eyed one could even react to his rapidly approaching enemy, she smashed her hands in the ground, causing another explosion to flip herself around, sending at him a scorching crescent-shaped blade of condensed flames.

Mark launched himself away from his previous location, Lightning-Attribute Mana trailing behind him before it erupted into long branches that rained down upon Luna's general position, barely able to see her through the light of his attack.

Even so the Human was more than able to see how most of his attack was simply deflected away by his enemy's own thunder, her body simply blurring forward and aiming right at him, ignoring the small amount of his attack that was able to actually and directly affect her beyond her defense.

Mark was more than able to understand that he could not afford to let her come anywhere near him or he risked being killed on the spot, especially once he noted how every single one of her movements spread her disruptive and destructive power around, even without any active effort.

Even so, he found that stopping her progress was much easier to say than to do, noting with displeasure how the Lunarian was suddently accelerating in her movements as she grew accustomed to her new temporary speed and her access to her Familiar's Skills, especially once she started using the assistance of her DivinePower Skill to enhance her Authorities, both of which were already being used to deal with the Blank Flames within her body and to allow her to fight properly.

Luna stilled briefly, judging the distance between the two of them to be appropriate for her plan and then she opened fully her False Domain, an area around her immediately gaining a slight opaque filter as her control over Vital Mana was amplified to beyond even her already impossibly high peak.

The Lunarian leaned forward, her tail rising and pointing towards the Human in a position vaguely similar to a humanoid scorpion, her horns shifting and then rising to form a ring before her tail.

Similarly, her wings straightened out and impaled themselves on the ground, functioning as additional stabilizers before finally her tail itself shifted, becoming a vaguely draconic head, its mouth opening wide and showing off an iridescent light that grew more and more brightly.

Mark's eyes widened fast, Light-Attribute Mana accumulating before his body to create various layers of barriers to buy himself time, immediately after activating his Time Walker and hurriedly launching himself far away from his previous location, deactivating it and the instant after launching his own attack back, this time a concentrated beam of Light-Attribute Mana, testing out her current defenses.

Yet even with his use of the fastest Attribute in his attack and the fact that she should have been umbalanced from her strike and its force combined with his Unique Skill's activation, Luna casually leaned fully upwards and in so doing transforming a strike aimed directly at her head into a complete miss, her tail returning to normal while instead her wings became four spider-like limbs, that stretched out backwards and grabbed onto another boulder thrown by Grug as a failed distraction.

Counterspell pulsed from the red eyed one's body, the heat emanating from the mass of rocks behind her being rapidly cooled, clenching and then shattering it entirely in between them, the remaining shards falling down behind her as she casually launched herself towards the blue eyed one, crossing the distance between the two in a breath.

Mark barely was able to dash left, dodging the vammpiric one's body that slammed in the place she was just in, his widened eyes desperatly following the movement of the various limbs possessed by his hated enemy, only thing that saved him from the tail that tried to stab him.

He rapidly retreated, barely dodging the rain of blade-like feathers launched by the great wings that beat a couple of times behind her back, the ground being riddled by the impaled masses of Black Blood that would have otherwise pierced his body otherwise.

Lightning-Attribute Mana accumulated around the Regressor before it erupted forward in a thunderbolt that struck the Lunarian, sending her flying back briefly, spinning in mid-air to land on her feet, a shockwave emanating from her body and beyond just flattening the area around her and in so doing also breaking the Human's footing.

His blue eyes widened in alarm, barely able to stabilize in time to dodge most of the combined assault of the armored Lunarian's arms, wings and tail, landing away with just a cut that cut into the side of his chest.

Lightning-Attribute Mana flared around his body, trying to force Luna back, failing as she simply launched herself right through his attack to land an hard kick on his abdomen, being him in half before she simply twisted her momentum to smash him in the ground, bouncing him once before punching downwards right in his head, the Human forming a crater in the ground.

Luna's body was soon surrounded by an intense iridescent glow before it exploded outwards in a nova of power that would have washed over the Human if this last one didn't hurriedly launch himself away thanks to his timely activation of his Time Walker.

Upon the ending of the Unique Skill, the explosion continued, destroying the rocks and the ground within its area, leaving behind only a dust cloud from which she emerged easily, her tail smashing on the ground briefly once as her head turned immediately towards the location of the reappeared Human.

Yet before she could move towards him to press her advantage, she found a wall of highly compressed stone appearing in her way before it soon expanded to surround her in a cube, intent on slowing down her momentum.
