Chapter 3 - 3. Yuru's Situation!

Yuru slowly stirred on her bed, rubbing her eyes as she attempted to make sense of her surroundings. Her gaze darted around the room, taking in the ornate furniture, the warm colors of the walls, and the concerned faces of her family and the palace staff. Confusion clouded her eyes, and she felt a sense of disorientation.

As she lay there, her mind swirled with fragmented memories from her past life – a life that felt like a distant dream. She remembered places, people, and events that seemed both familiar and foreign. The sudden rush of memories overwhelmed her, and fear began to creep in.

In that moment, she couldn't help but scream, a piercing sound that echoed through the room. The abrupt cry startled her family, who watched her with a mixture of worry and compassion.

Her mother, Queen Elara, swiftly moved closer and gathered Yuru into her arms. She held her daughter tightly, murmuring words of comfort and reassurance. Yuru clung to her mother, her heart pounding in her chest.

Gradually, Yuru's fear began to subside. She felt the warmth and safety of her mother's embrace. The queen's soothing presence allowed her to regain a sense of clarity.

As Yuru calmed down, she started to piece together the puzzle of her life in this world. She remembered her birth, her early years, and the playful moments she'd shared with her brother, Nami. She slowly comprehended her role as Princess Yuru of the Flockshire kingdom.

Her mother, Queen Elara, gently asked, "Yuru, my dear, are you all right?" Yuru nodded, her eyes no longer filled with terror. "Yes, Mother," she replied, her voice trembling. "I'm just... a bit confused. I think I had a strange dream."

The entire room seemed to exhale a collective sigh of relief. Yuru's family and the palace staff were visibly relieved to see her return to her normal self.

A few days had passed since Yuru's unsettling awakening. In her chambers, a maid, Lady Emilia, was attending to the princess, helping her dress and prepare for the day. As she reached out to gently adjust Yuru's clothing, the young princess recoiled, avoiding the maid's touch and backing away with a look of frustration in her eyes.

"Princess Yuru," Lady Emilia said, her voice filled with concern, "what's wrong? Why won't you let me help you?"

Yuru's response was immediate, her voice raised in frustration, "Don't touch me!" Lady Emilia was taken aback by the sudden outburst. She couldn't comprehend why the princess was reacting this way. It had been a few days since the incident, and Yuru's behavior had taken a sharp turn.

"Is it because of what happened that day?" Lady Emilia asked, trying to understand the root of the problem. But Yuru simply repeated herself, shouting, "Don't touch me!" Her eyes, once filled with innocence, now held a mixture of fear and anger.

Uncertain about how to handle the situation, Lady Emilia decided to leave the room and find another attendant who might be able to assist the princess. As she hurried out of the room, Lady Emilia collided with a tall, imposing figure in the hallway. It was Prince Nami, who had been informed of Yuru's unusual behavior.

"Prince Nami," the maid stammered, her eyes filled with concern, "I've never seen the princess act this way. She refuses to be touched or helped, and I don't know why." Nami's brow furrowed with worry as he considered the implications of Yuru's newfound aversion to physical contact.

Prince Nami, deeply concerned about his sister's sudden aversion to touch, entered Yuru's room to investigate the situation. As he stepped inside, his gaze fell upon the young princess, who was standing nervously near her bed.

Upon seeing her older brother, Yuru's eyes lit up with recognition and affection. She ran toward Nami with a bright smile and threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. Nami hugged her back, relieved to see her express such warmth and familiarity.

Lady Emilia, observing this interaction, took it as a sign that Yuru was returning to her normal self. She cautiously approached the princess, thinking that perhaps the issue had resolved itself.

However, as soon as Lady Emilia extended her hand to touch Yuru's shoulder, the young princess recoiled and shouted once more, "I said don't touch me!"

Yuru's sudden change in demeanor was perplexing and unsettling. It was as if her entire personality underwent a transformation whenever someone attempted to touch her.

Nami, still holding Yuru in his arms, noticed the maid's confusion and said, "It seems that Yuru has a particular aversion to being touched by anyone except for me."Yuru, in the safety of her brother's embrace, looked around the room with a mixture of curiosity and anxiety. Her eyes darted back to Lady Emilia, who had stepped back, now uncertain about how to proceed.

The incident with Yuru's aversion to physical contact had raised significant concern within the palace. The palace doctor was summoned to investigate the situation and understand the reason behind her peculiar behavior.

With a sense of caution, the doctor observed Princess Yuru from a distance, not attempting to touch her. Instead, he utilized his magical abilities to examine her condition. After a thorough evaluation, he came to an unusual conclusion.

The doctor explained to the concerned family and staff, "It appears that for some reason, Princess Yuru simply does not want anyone to touch her. It's not causing her any harm, physically or magically, but it seems to be a strong aversion on her part. The only exception is her immediate family."

The king and queen exchanged worried glances, struggling to comprehend the situation. They couldn't understand what had caused this sudden aversion.

The doctor continued, "In light of this, I would recommend hiring new maids who are willing to attend to the princess without physical contact. This way, we can ensure her well-being while respecting her boundaries."

It was a perplexing and unexpected turn of events. The family and palace staff were left with no choice but to adapt to this new reality, as they navigated the challenge of attending to Princess Yuru without touching her.

As the days passed, the palace worked diligently to find new maids and a butler who would be suitable to attend to Princess Yuru without the need for physical contact. It was a challenging task, but after careful consideration, they discovered two maids and one butler who possessed the necessary magical abilities.

These new staff members had the unique capability to use magic to attend to the princess's needs without the requirement of physical touch. This magical assistance allowed Yuru to maintain her comfort and boundaries while still receiving the care and attention she required.

While these changes marked a significant adjustment for the palace, Yuru's mother, Queen Elara, continued to provide unwavering support and care for her daughter. The queen's nurturing presence reassured Yuru, and she continued to thrive in the company of her family.
