Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Return to the Homeland

As the dictator of Bialya, Queen Bee rules her country with brutality and an iron fist, though she claims it is a constitutional monarchy. Her claim to the throne holds some legitimacy, but is also partly propaganda.

Marcus woke up in a cell, a cold collar clamped around his neck.

Queen Bee: Hello, Marcus.

A shiver ran down Marcus's spine. That voice... He had flashes of the same person who had given him his powers and injected him with Compound V.

Queen Bee: You want me to call you Utopian now? It's a name I scarcely appreciate.

Marcus looked at this slender woman with dark skin, deep blue eyes, and long black hair pulled back by a golden diadem on her forehead. She also wore golden stinger-shaped earrings and a gauntlet on her right forearm. She was dressed in a grey bustier dress with a miniskirt, black pants, and high-heeled boots. A translucent pale blue veil hung around her shoulders. Everything about her screamed power, lust, and domination. But he did not respond.

Queen Bee: You say nothing? No matter. I have the means to tame you again.

She snapped her fingers. Psimon appeared, a sadistic smile on his lips.

Psimon: You made me run quite a bit to find you. But in the end, you came back. And I hope you'll put up a bit of a fight for me.

He used his psychic power to subdue Marcus a second time. A sharp, familiar pain exploded in Marcus's skull, attempting to shatter his will. The knuckles of his clenched fists turned white as he fought fiercely against the mental intrusion. He raised his head, sweat beading on his brow, and stared at Psimon with a look of burning defiance.

He would not surrender easily.
