Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Might Duy Test

Might Duy had pushed Mizuki to his limits with a rigorous training regimen, testing his endurance and willpower. After a grueling session of physical challenges and the daunting task of breaking a boulder with his bare fists, Mizuki had emerged bloodied but triumphant.

"YOU HAVE PASSED!" Might Duy exclaimed with youthful enthusiasm, his voice echoing across the training ground.

Mizuki, panting heavily and with hands stained in his own blood, looked at Duy in surprise. He had thought the test was about willpower, but now he understood it was about perseverance and determination.

"Thank you, Uncle Duy," Mizuki managed to say, his voice strained from exhaustion.

"Now go to the hospital to treat your hands, Mizuki," Duy instructed with concern.

Leaving Duy behind, Mizuki hurried to the hospital where his injuries were tended to by skilled ninja medics. Once treated, he sighed in disappointment as he checked his wallet, now considerably lighter.

"Looks like it's instant noodles until payday," Mizuki muttered to himself, resigned to his financial situation.

Back home, after a quick shower, Mizuki prepared a simple cheeseburger for dinner. As he washed the dishes, the exhaustion from the day's training finally caught up with him, and he crawled into bed, hoping for a restful night's sleep.

Three months later...

Mizuki's alarm clock blared, pulling him out of a deep sleep. He groggily got out of bed and shuffled towards the door, still half-asleep. Since training under Might Duy, his body had grown stronger, and he now wore heavy leg weights to push his limits further.

Opening the door, Mizuki was greeted by Anko, a mischievous smirk on her face as she savored dango skewers for breakfast. It was a sight that had become somewhat routine, though still surprising each time.

"Well, well, look who finally decides to wake up," Anko teased, her purple hair tied back in a casual style.

Mizuki chuckled softly, accustomed to her playful banter. "Troublesome as always, Anko."

"You should be grateful to have a beautiful girl like me waking you up every day," Anko retorted with mock indignation, puffing her cheeks.

Mizuki couldn't help but smile at her antics. "Alright, alright. I promise I'll treat you to dango skewers after class."

"Really? You better not be lying this time," Anko replied, hugging Mizuki with a grin.

"Yeah," Mizuki said, slightly overwhelmed by Anko's sudden change in demeanor.

Quickly packing his bag and locking the door behind him, Mizuki and Anko hurried towards the Academy, using their ninja skills to move swiftly through the village streets.
