Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The opposite of impromptu

"At times life takes a curve, a turn, a dramatic change right when you least expect it to happen". I thought it was just another cliche, something cute and cheesy you hear in movies as you roll your eyes. I don't like change. The feeling and anxiousness of not knowing what's going to happen next. But I couldn't just sit and pretend like my world didn't just turn upside down. I like how things turned out though. I hope this piqued your interest, but if it didn't already, i go into a world of so called wizardry, i fall in love, i mess up and... you'll get to know with time.

Hannah

"You know that i want to be with you all the time. you know that i won't stop until I make you mine", i scream at the top of my lungs while restlessly jumping on my single bed as the music blasts at full volume. I was afraid i might break it.

"Hannah for God sake I have my exam tomorrow! turn it down", shouted my dumb sister heather at the noise.

"Dude, that's such an old excuse now", i retorted.

"Just lower the volume or I'm telling mom okay?", she says with her hands crossed and raising her eyebrows.

"alright! I'm turning it down"

I bounced of my bed and turned the speakers off as heather slammed the door shut. I moved across my tiny bed and opened my brand new drawer that stood beside it, It was a brown wooden newly polished drawer. The smell of the polish made my head spin, the drawer didn't suit my room but my mother wanted me to have it anyways. It's filled with uncountable sticky notes, letters and crumbled up papers, i quickly shuffled through it and took out a tiny music box.

The music box was made of glass and steel and did not seem much bigger than the palm of my hand. I caressed the purple glass which had a butterfly on it and press it gently. The music box opens and it begins humming a soothing sound note. I found this in the garage of my old house while we were moving out. I've kept it with me ever since, i don't understand how someone could leave such a beautiful thing like that and forget about it.

 ...

After class Sarah and I walked out together.

"Hey..i have to tell you something", Sarah said with her hand on my arm that halts our walk.

I searched her face but i couldn't figure it out, "yeah?"

"well….i like Alex!", she smiled while biting her lips and waiting for my reaction.

"Alex? From our class?"

God..not her too, the last girl that I hung out with before her liked him too, she even went ahead and confessed but guess what? He rejected her with some stupid excuse, but it was her fault anyways. She didn't even tell me she was going to do that, it made me pretty sad.

"that's nice but did i tell you that a girl before you liked him too? he rejected her".

Sarah's brows drew together,"oh..but i think he likes me, we spoke in computer science too and he kept making jokes!"

"well, sounds like things are going nice already. He's not that bad but still..i don't want you to get hurt alright? My car's here. bye Sarah! I'll text you"

I waved her goodbye. Atleast she's happy for now i thought.
