After what felt like an eternity of creeping through the oppressive darkness, they reached a vast chamber. It was a huge room with many entrances branching off in different directions, like the tendrils of some great, subterranean beast. The sight of so many paths urged them to split up, but Trex shook his head vehemently and made a gesture indicating they should stick together.
Vincent glanced around nervously. "Looks like this place is trying to split us up," he muttered, his grip tightening on his rifle. "But we shouldn't."
"Agreed," Joize replied, her voice steady. "We don't know the lay of the land. It's better to stick together in situations like these."
Rhox nodded, her keen eyes scanning the various entrances. "Trex is right. We stay together. These tunnels are too dangerous to navigate alone."
Gunn clicked his mandibles in agreement. "Strength in numbers. Whatever's down here, we'll face it together."
