Chapter 89 - What The Water Gave Me

[JIMINIE]

"I'm sorry my love keeps breaking your heart," King Agust whimpered as he stared at his stubborn Erasthai.

He knew that the past week had been fine, and while Jiminie had been trying to make things better, he understood the skepticism of the Alpha not to want to believe him. He could also see the fear in the alpha's eyes.

And it wasn't just the fear of Agust and his people coming after his people again, no. This was different. It was the kind of fear that was found in love, and as the king stepped closer, as he saw what was in there, he understood.

Jiminie wasn't scared of him coming back to attack Kiyoto, no.

He was sure he would find a way to deal with that, not to mention the fact that even though he was angry with Agust, a part of him knew that the king would never let this repeat itself ever.

That much Jiminie was assured of.

And right now, Agust was slowly coming to terms with what he was seeing in those beautiful brown eyes.

'Oh baby,' the king thought to himself as he stared at the prettiest little thing that he had fallen head over heels in love with.

He saw fear; the kind that strangely excited him.

Jiminie was scared and angry that he was losing Agust forever. That this was probably going to be the last time that he would see the man he loved more than he had ever dared to lean into.

If he could, he would leave with Agust.

He knew that he had made that agreement when Agust had women up earlier, not to mention he had done it with his people watching.

Hell, he had asked for the border ward to be erected, not because he was always scared for his people, but because it was the safest way for them both.

But now he was scared that if Agust left and crossed over, there was a really high chance that he would never see the man again. Like that was the one thing he couldn't live with.

Sure, they would have their mind link and whatnot, but if he was being honest with himself, Jiminie couldn't take another scarred tissue on his stomach just because his mate had decided to bed another Lycan.

And that was pissing him off and scaring him at the same time.

"I… I don't love him, kitten. I never have. Never will. I won't touch him again, I promise," Agust said softly.

He looked into those beautiful eyes that he always dreamed of whenever he was high and drunk from the thought that no one other than Jiminie would ever be able to quell him.

It was in that desperation that he felt alive, but now seeing his Jiminie here like this, he felt like the world was losing him, and he wanted to fix that.

He would fix that, even if it would take him ages to fix.

He could always find another way to keep the targets off of Jiminie.

However, with the way he had rushed to Kiyoto, there was no denying that by now, the entire realm was aware of what King Agust had done. How he had rushed to Kiyoto to his Erasthai right after his Lycans attacked.

Everyone by now already knew Jiminie was important to the king, and that was dangerous and exciting at the same time. Because now the king didn't have to pretend that he was into someone else just to keep the targets off Jiminie's back.

He would defend him. He would love him proudly and openly.

"You're just saying that," Jiminie whimpered in anger.

In response, Agust closed the distance between them, slamming their lips in one hungry kiss. He didn't give the alpha time to think of what to do, perhaps because if he had, Jiminie would have pushed him away. He would be right to, though.

"Mmfgh..." Jiminie tried to resist, keeping his mouth shut, but the king was holding him close and desperately. The feeling of the king's hand on him had Jiminie feeling suddenly hot and bothered.

He wanted to fight it, go's, he wanted to fight it and say that he couldn't be kissed by the same lips that had probably kissed Jung Hyuk. He hated that man with everything, but Agust didn't stop. He bit Jiminie's lower lip, demanding access.

And Jiminie...

Beautiful alpha Park Jimin...

The pretty alpha had always been weak for King Ming Xiao Zhu's touch and kisses.

There was only so much he could try, even though he had given up the moment Agust gripped his waist and pulled them closer, giving Jiminie a feel of just how hard the mad king was for him.

In that moment, the alpha let out an involuntary gasp, one that allowed Agust the chance he had been waiting for. One that he had been hungry for.

Fuck if Agust didn't literally lick and bite Jiminie's lips, before kissing him like a hungry man.

He was hungry alright, and he was letting Jiminie know in that kiss.

That desperate kiss that had a mad king eating the alpha's mouth like this was where heaven resided, like that mouth, that beautiful, long tongue, was all for Agust to devour always and forever.

If he had to spend an eternity kissing his Jiminie, Agust would never once complain.

Fuck, he wouldn't.

"Ngh," Jiminie let out weakly as Agust devoured him, and the alpha's desire for more had him subconsciously pulling his hands from the wall that he had been determined to disappear into barely seconds ago.

He roughly grabbed the mad king's neck, pressing them both harder than he would have thought.

Agust let out a soft sigh of relief.

His kitten was no longer trapped in the ward.

So, when Jiminie returned his kiss, when Jiminie let their mouths and tongues dance to the one desperate tune they had been yearning for in the past week, Agust knew he didn't want to be anywhere else.

Hell, if Kiyoto sentenced him to death, he would die a very happy man. He didn't want to be saved.

Not if that meant missing out on this daily.

The blend of lavender and the king's woody scent was so intoxicating that Jiminie let out low moans that messed with Agust's mind.

The king held on, tighter. Impossibly tighter as their bodies pressed harder against each other.

The king could feel Jiminie's full mounds pressing against his chest. Boy, did it feel like this was heaven for him. This was home. No one would ever change their mind.

"Kitten..." Agust breathed heavily when they pulled apart to catch their breath.

He had left enough space for their faces to be literally inches apart, and honestly, it still felt like a lot for him. It was as if this was the one chance he had to make things better for them both, and he wouldn't let it go.

"I hate you," Jiminie growled as he struggled to get out of Agust's grip.

It was something that his body didn't want, but his mind was taunting him for throwing himself. A little whore to the one man who had broken his heart countless times without any remorse.

It was something that Jiminie wouldn't have let his elf do for countless reasons, but Agust was always going to be different. He was always going to be Jiminie's greatest weakness, and Jiminie loved that a little too much.

Maybe he would get out and touch some grass, but would it matter that they were out already and there was much of that around them?

"Heard that before, kitten," Agust said.

Jiminie stepped back just enough to throw a hard punch at the smug-looking king.

King Agust didn't even flinch.

It was as he had expected it, and he looked proud of the contact Jiminie's fist made with his jaw. Hell, he looked like he wanted more, and they say he was static at Jiminie under the moon and Jiminie fuming.

So the pretty alpha began hitting the king in the chest, like that was supposed to get him some relief.

Maybe it would work.

Maybe it wouldn't work.

But there was no denying that Jiminie was angry with everything.

Agust was right there at the centre of the chaos.

"I could kill you."
