Grandpa placed the dwarf robot on top of the cupboard and told Vizella and Seili to watch carefully and let him know if it moved.
Then he went out to the farm with his basket to collect fruits and vegetables.
Seili called after him, "Grandpa, I want to go with you!"
But Grandpa shook his head. "No, stay in the hut with your sister. That machine might be hiding a monster inside."
Seili grinned. "Alright, Grandpa. Bring us lots of bananas!"
While Seili was carving a wooden spear, the dwarf suddenly spoke: "Sola… where are you?"
The boy froze. Hearing his mother's name, he dropped the spear and ran to his sister. "Vizella! Did you hear that? Mother is coming!"
Vizella rushed out of the kitchen in alarm. Seili clutched her tightly, crying, "Mother is coming! That monster called for her—it said, 'My mother, Seili!'"
Trembling, Vizella whispered, "Let's listen to it…"
Seili carefully lifted the device down from the cupboard and set it on the table. "Speak!" he demanded. "What are you, strange machine?"
The dwarf suddenly sprang to life, dancing clumsily. "I own the tavern—I am the alcohol monster!"
Vizella gasped, then laughed nervously. "Dance, then!"
Seili added, "You even have music?"
The dwarf nodded. "Yes… I'll play it!"
Instantly, loud music filled the hut. Seili and Vizella, caught up in the moment, began dancing with joy.
But outside, Grandpa heard the noise echoing across the farm. He hurried back, his basket brimming with fruit. As he drew near, the music grew louder. He stopped for a moment, frowning. "What's going on? Did those youngsters find my hidden wine?" he muttered. "If they drank it, I'll punish them severely!"
Bursting into the hut, Grandpa shouted angrily, "Stop this at once! What's happening here? You're both drunk!"
The dwarf bowed mockingly. "Yes! I am the innkeeper, and Sola the monster is my friend!"
Furious, Grandpa seized Seili and Vizella, dragging them outside. Then he turned and struck the dwarf. The machine fell silent, lifeless once more.
