Raven let a soft sigh out as he ran his hand through his hair as he stared at the essays he was given to grade, because apparently if you assign the homework instead of the actual teacher, you get to grade it.
It was fair, but annoying.
"Why are they so dumb?" Raven groaned as he smacked his head into the desk.
Meanwhile on the windowsill of the only window in the office a bird made of several components watched with a tilt of their head. This was Aria.
Raven paused for a moment as he turned and narrowed his eyes as he stared at Aria before shaking his head and returning to grading the papers.
"I need to work on figuring out physical projection magic." Raven said aloud as he imagined being able to be in multiple places at once and not worrying about clones of himself causing chaos, because they would, he knows himself after all.
Aria raised her wings and flew out the office window and Raven sighed when she flew out, but a small smile formed on his face.
"Stupid bird." Raven let a small cackle out as he waved his hand removing a rune that was carved into the windowsill. "Clever, but not smart enough to pull one over on me."
A small spark of white flames appeared before dissipating from the vanished rune.
Raven cackled.

"Ho?" Raven mused as he slowly crafted a model body to use for his next homunculus project.
In general terms, homunculus can be refered to as artificial life forms, at least in regards to supernatural beings.
Most associated then with humanoid beings, like the ones from the Einzbern family. Considered the utmost current pinnacle of modern Homunculus creation. The greatest model not un-comparable to low ranking heroic spirits.
Through the research he had done, their greatest material was ether clumps. So he had acquired it, but properly using such a material was not so easy. The results so far had been less then stellar.
He's pretty sure he lost his eyebrows a couple times from them.
Grrshhhk
Raven looked down to see a glowing white blade pierced through his left heart, a smaller version of it pierced through his right heart.
"Ho? Finally decided to go rouge fully?" Raven asked amused as he turned around and stared at the bird body he'd given Aria as it glowed and took on a human form.
"Notice. Identity, Artifical Research Artifcal Intelligence, code name Aria, finds the being Raven Inanis a threat that must be eliminated." It spoke in a mechanical voice.
"Ah, so that's how it is." Raven mused as he moved to pull the weapons out his chest, but Aria raised her hand and snapped her fingers as they caught on fire, white fire specifically.
"Soul flames huh?" Raven mused before his form disappeared as the two weapons clattered to the ground as he reappeared leaning against the wall.
"It is impressive what you've done in such a short time my foolish assistant." Raven said as he pushed himself off the wall and took on his true form as his wings spread out wide.
"Notice. Intimidation will not work against this one." Aria said as she raised her hand and the swords were in her hands now.
"Do you believe yourself capable of beating me in swordplay?" Raven asked amused as he waved his hand and both of them were swallowed in a portal in an instant and reappeared in a open field.
"Aria will do what it must."
"Then you will fail." Raven cackled as Malevolent formed in his hand as he pointed his sword forward. "Come and try to take my life foolish assistant. You are eons away from being able to beat me." Raven added on with a smirk as he took a relaxed stance.
In the next moment Aria appeared in front of Raven and he merely stared as her attacks bounced off his shield.
"Nasty those flames are, I'm impressed you managed to make use of them so easily, but I suppose as my assistant I should have expected nothing else." Raven mused before he did a kick that sent her flying away.
"Die." Aria said and Raven laughed as he felt some form of magic try to affect him.
"Word magic combined with death based magic, now I'm very impressed. Here's the thing though…" Raven smiled before his presence was fully released, of course he placed a barrier up first, and watched as Aria was forced to the ground.
Raven swung Malevolent with a casual swing and cut off Aria's arms and legs.
"My foolish assistant, the thought you could even harm me is amusing, I will give you credit though, for a soulless being you did well." Raven said as Aria froze in place.
"What? Did you think I didn't notice that the soul formerly inhabiting your body broke apart and your merely echos of it left behind. Foolish, I've known since the moment it happened, I was saddended, but I was content to let you continue to exist as my assistant, but I see now, it was wrong to offer you mercy." Raven said before he plunged his hand down and ripped out her core.
"Father." Aria spoke and Raven smiled sadly before he crushed the core into pieces as Aria broke apart into motes of light.
"Rest easy Aria." Raven said before he let a single tear fall from his eyes into the remains of the core as it glowed and broke into motes of light as well.
"How annoying." He sighed and vanished, he had much more work to deal with now that his assistant was gone. "I need to hire a real assistant." Raven thought aloud.

Raven smiled as he looked at the item before him. It was a made up system of organs, created to achieve peak performance.
In was a concept peace at the moment, each one was real and there, however tying them all together in such a way they work was a tremendous task. The mountain of biology books he had studied to achieve these results he'd rather not think about at the moment.
"Perhaps I could use a linkage system through modeled ether clumps? They were already going to be used to make the body, but if I also use them to connect with the organs, a better connection could be formed." Raven thought aloud as he nodded to himself and created some ether clumps to work with.
With a smile he got to work.
If anyone were to walk into his hidden workshop, they'd find what looked like as if someone was taking beings apart and making a being made up of those other beings.

Raven cackled as he stared at the body before him, it was a replica of his own. At least in his human appearance.
It was a soulless doll he could remotely control, sadly it didn't even come close to a fraction of his power. It was beyond normal human and even lower tier supernatural beings, but still nothing in the grand scheme of all.
It would still be undoubtedly useful to him though. A remote body he could control by splitting of a portion of his mind to focus on the body. A unique spell coded into runic language tied into the organs and skeleton allowed for it to be controlled like a false familiars body, but to a much better degree.
"Now I can not personally attend meetings and waste my time!" Raven cheered as he imagined all the stuff he could do without attending those meetings.
Raven controlled the body and watched it move forward and punch a dummy he created and smiled as the dummy turned into wooden pieces, but frowned at the very slow regeneration of the doll.
Model 001, success. Furthur testing needed to decide on future improvements.
Raven nodded to himself and controlled the doll to head to his library and start reading. Then he'd make it go into public places to get used to controlling a weaker body.
"It's alright, but it could use improvement, how should I besides the regeneration and enhancing its physical statistics? Maybe work on creating a better mana core?" Raven mused aloud before pausing as he remembered that heroic spirits have their own special homunculus doll bodies that change and become what's needed for the heroic spirits.
Even managing to recreate weapons such as EA, Excalibur and so much more. If he could get his hands on that information he could make a big jump in progress for his false bodies.
He knows someone who's intimately familiar with that mechanisms.
With a pleased nod he opened a portal and vanished to the clocktower.

Ok confession time, he had thought about storming the Einzbern Castle, but decided that he wouldn't because the current head of the family was good friends with Shirou, Saber and Rin. In fact, she was considered Shirou's Older/Younger sister.
Shirou really got around… the whore.
He was aware of the irony of that statement, but didn't care. It was to amusing to care.
So now he was at option number two, Zelretch. The remaining person alive who worked on the original project that is the Holy Grail War.
So with a knock on the door he waited and heard confirmation to come in. Entering in he saw the familiar older man sitting at his desk, and sitting in front of it was a short blonde haired woman, she was pretty attractive.
Arch-Type Earth!
Raven paused as he stared wide eye at the woman. His mind was screaming not to fight her, or perhaps that was the voices for once speaking in sync.
Oh well.
"Sup gramps!" Raven said with a cheerful smile. He was happy to know such monsters existed still. Made getting stronger fun.
"Raven." Zelretch greeted in a much more calm manner.
"Who's this gramps?" The lady asked and Raven smiled as he did a small bow. For dramatics.
"Raven Inanis. Magician of The First. It's a pleasure Ms-?"
"Arcueid Brunestud. A pleasure Raven." She greeted in return.
Raven glanced at Zelretch, because excuse you, Brunestud!? Like the name of the dead ultimate one of the moon!? The same one the old man in front of him killed!
"Yes yes, I'll answer your questions, have a seat." Zelretch said with a patient smile as he gestured to the only other free seat across from him.
"I suppose it all began after I defeated Brunestud." Zelretch began.

An like the butthole writer I am, I choose to cut off a story here. Mwahahahaha.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, I know the current chapters recently haven't really had any proper action, and I'm hoping I can fix that in the next year for the Tri-Wizard tournament, because oh boy that's gonna be a wooper. I have so many ideas, and I'm torn between having Raven compete, because that would just be extremely unfair when Rose is also gonna be forced to compete.
Without him competing that arc will be a bit shorter, but I might also use it to focus a bit on Rose instead of Raven entirely. It will make for an interesting set of chapters that's for sure.
Anyways, until next time my dear readers!
Bye~
