Half way up the stairs of the jet he stops, after taking a deep shuddering breath he turn and look back at the airport. He grip the left side of his chest as pain surge through him. By now Anthony or Evan must have told Liah that he was leaving and yet she haven't called him once.
Was she so wrapped up in her ex's arms that she couldn't even be bothered to call and say goodbye? Did she even cared that he was leaving? Was he that unimportant to her? Was he really just a passing phase to her? Someone she could master her sexual skills with before returning to her ex?
The lady he was supposed to marry was still missing and presumed dead. He didn't have a wife or child waiting for him. The one thing that made it so difficult for him to completely surrender his heart to her didn't even exist.
He tried so hard to guard his heart and his emotions from her because he couldn't remember his past but in the end he had lost that battle.
She had somehow managed to break through his defences and without even realizing it he had completely surrender to her and had fallen in love with this beautiful virgin Island princess.
And now he was faced with the realization that she was only using him. He meant nothing to her, after she was done with him, she had discarded him and went straight back into her ex's arms.
What was even worst was the fact that a part of him still believes that David was somehow behind everything that he was accused of and now Liah had returned to him without knowing the kind of person her ex really is.
"Your Highness? Are you okay?" Keshan ask. "I'm conflicted." He replied searching for his phone, then growls in his throat as he realize he had left both his phones in Evan's car, what if she was indeed trying to get to him?" he wondered.
"Lend me your phone." He said to Keshan who immediately hand over his phone. Mathayus quickly dials Liah's number again, and again it went to voicemail. He ends the call and dials the number again, and again voicemail.
She wasn't trying to reach him because her phone was still off. "Damn it Liah, did I mean that little to you that you can't even answer your damn phone." He growls while sinking into a sitting position on the steps of the jet as tears once again run down his face.
"Your Highness!" Keshan calls in alarm dropping down beside him. "I'll be fine alright, I just need a minute." He snaps while angrily wiping his tears.

"How is she?" Anthony ask as a doctor approach them in the waiting area. "Are you a family member?" the doctor ask. "Yes, I'm her brother." Anthony snaps. "I understand your impatience but given her condition we have to be careful who we give out information to, can I see some identification?" The doctor ask.
"For fuck sake." Anthony swear taking out his driver's license and shoving it at the man, who took it and examine it closely, then hand it back to Anthony.
"She is stable and her baby is out of danger..." "Wait, baby? What baby?" Anthony asks cutting the doctor off. "She is pregnant." "Shit." "An investigation has been launch to find out what happened to her and there's an officer here that will need to speak with you at some point." the doctor informed him.
"Fine, whatever, is she awake?" "No she isn't." "Can I see her?" "Sure follow me."
