"Oh, will you stop pacing already? You're making me dizzy." Liah pouts as Jody continues pacing. "Oh, I wish I could hit you over the head with a baseball bat and make you really dizzy for how stupid you've been, and now Michael is half way across the world thinking that you actually went back to that bastard, as if....?" Jody growls.
"A part of me knew that something was off when David referred to you as his fiancée. Michael was so hurt and angry that he grabbed the phone and ended the call, but I knew something was off. I kept telling myself that there's no way you would've just accepted his proposal.
I was 80% sure; the other 20% was up for grabs because of how you were acting before you left. The look on Michael's face when he heard David called you his fiancée. It's as if he was hit with a sledgehammer and there was nothing I could do to comfort him, if only you had believed me, none of this would've happened....."
"Jody...Christ, take a breath already." Liah groans, rubbing her temples. "I already know that most of what happened was my fault. I went after Michael like there was no tomorrow, and I fell for him, hard, then all this nonsense happened, and I was hurt, angry, jealous, and confused...
I did and said a lot of hurtful things to you and Michael, and I'm hoping that with the grace and mercy of God, I can put everything back as it was before, that's if you could find it in your heart to forgive me." Liah says in a hopeful tone.
"Forgive you? After you dogged me out like that, then run off to your little retreat." Jody huffs. "Jody...I..." "Oh shut up, I don't want to hear any more of your nonsense, you let a real life Prince slip through your fingers, jackass, and I haven't even gotten started on all the shit that took place here after you left..."
"Which you will have to fill her in on while on the journey to Kingston, we need to leave, like now," Anthony says, cutting Jody's ramblings off. "Alright, let's hit the roa,d and I have an earful for you missy so prepare yourself." Jody huffs walking away.
"And so do I." Her mother adds, taking up her handbag.

Three days later, Liah was all settled into her new apartment in uptown Kingston. She was currently seated at the kitchen counter, lost in thought, when Anthony and their mother entered the kitchen. "Alright sis, you're fully stocked for about two weeks. If you need anything before that, Mama will get it for you...
You can go outside now and then to stretch your legs, but don't stay out there too long to draw attention to yourself, you are much safer in side this house, got that?" "Yeah, got it." She answered absent-mindedly. "Hey, pay attention to what I am saying to you." He growls, slamming his palm on the counter, which made her jump.
"What th..." "Your only mission right now is to keep yourself and that child inside you safe, got that?" "I know what I need to do, Anthony." She snaps at him. "For that child's sake, you had better know, now remember, you've a doctor's appointment on Monday...
It's a private doctor, and he's discrete so you should be fine, but if you even feel like something is off, you call me, got that?" "Yes," "Alright, Evan will accompany you, as far as anyone here knows, he's the father of your child." "Okay," She nods.
"This apartment has a state-of-the-art security system, and each of you must have a panic button with you at all times when you're here."
"Isn't all this a bit much?" Liah asks. "Listen to me, sis, and listen good, don't you for one second forget where we come from and the kind of people we are used to dealing with, and also don't forget whose child you're now carrying, be alert at all times...
And Evan, here's some extra bullets, if anyone even looks at you funny, take them out, got that?" "Got it," "Alright, Jody and I will be leaving for the country first thing in the morning, so Evan, come let me holla at you for a few minutes." Anthony then turns and leaves the kitchen with Evan right behind him.
