As soon as he caught up with her, she started glaring at him. "You've reminded me about something," she grumbled with narrowed eyes. "I still need to talk to mother-in-law about Kudzai… and you promised to back me up!"
Erik's expression turned a little wry. Truthfully, he'd forgotten all about that as well, but he didn't look forward to it. Still, he wasn't about to deny her… "Alright," he sighed regretfully. "Let's go now, then. You can start your seclusion right after."
Naeku nodded curtly and looked ahead with determined eyes. Clearly, her decision to try and repair the relationship with her friend and god-mother had awakened her protectiveness towards Kudzai.
"So," Erik then asked, smirking slightly through the tension in the air, "how did it go?"
Naeku rolled her eyes. "Don't pretend you didn't watch every second with omnisense!"
Smiling, Erik shrugged. "Can you blame me for wanting to hear it from my beautiful wife herself?"
