After successfully completing the reservoir on the eastern side, the ones in the south, west, and north were also finished in quick succession using the same method.
During this time, nearby adventurers and Knights of Favonius stood dumbfounded, watching the thousand-meter-tall "Sword God of Lumine" display her divine might.
Nolan could feel that his reputation had once again spread further, and even the rate at which he gathered "Spirituality" had increased ever so slightly.
Come to think of it, after so much time, his "Spiritual Core" had already stored quite a large amount of "Spirituality"—according to his calculations, it was enough to assign sixty-two new attributes.
Nolan figured he could finally try for a personalized attribute of his own. However, he noticed that his current abilities were already quite well-rounded.
There didn't seem to be any real weak points.
In that case, he didn't need to spend double the Spirituality to direct the attribute in any specific direction. A normal randomized attribute roll would suffice.
Besides, it wasn't necessary for the attribute to be unique to him—as long as it looked suitable, he'd take it.
While heading back to base with Eula, Nolan continued pondering about attribute rolls.
Back at the Knights of Favonius headquarters, Eula summoned the scholars and informed them that the reservoirs had all been completed.
Next, the previously approved "Beast Realm Agricultural Development Plan" by the Knights would be implemented step by step.
When the officials in charge left the headquarters, they were still in a daze—four massive reservoirs, and such a massive undertaking was somehow finished so easily?!
Watching the scholars leave, Eula finally breathed a small sigh of relief. Affairs outside of battle... were probably more Jean's specialty.
"Let's head back to Mondstadt for a bit. We should report to that fool from the Gunnhildr family—and while we're at it, get her to hand over your payment," Eula said, rubbing her temples as she glanced at the young adventurer seated beside her.
"Mora or no Mora, it doesn't matter," Nolan replied with a smile. "Just make sure they highlight my contributions when promoting the Beast Realm Agricultural Plan. That's enough."
After all, the more people who knew about him, the more "Spirituality" he could gather.
He wasn't about to pass up any chance to grow more famous.
"This kind of small thing—just talk to that Jean woman," Eula said, arms crossed beneath the black straps pressing over her chest.
Nolan nodded, took a step forward, and wrapped his arms around Eula from behind. As his face neared hers, the two of them vanished from sight—teleporting back to Mondstadt.
—Knights of Favonius Headquarters, Acting Grand Master's Office—
Jean was sitting at the table on the right, sipping red tea with Lisa. Suddenly, Nolan and Eula appeared beside them out of thin air.
Seeing the two arrive together, Lisa—wearing her pointed witch hat—smiled playfully.
"My my, our little adventurer is always clinging to Eula. How about giving your big sis here a hug too?"
Nolan certainly didn't mind indulging Lisa's request.
He let go of Eula and leaned down to give Lisa, seated in her chair, a gentle hug. Watching this, Eula let out a discontented "hmph."
Her black high-heeled boots shifted slightly rightward, pivoting on the heel, and her body followed the motion as she turned toward Jean.
"This guy already handled the reservoirs. Give him his reward," she said.
"Mhm, thank you both for your hard work," Jean replied. She had already been informed last night that Nolan would be assisting over in the Beast Realm today. Taking a sip of her red tea, she looked up at him.
"I recently acquired over a hundred Primogems for you. Consider those your payment. I'll bring them to you after work tonight."
"That works." Nolan, pulling back from Lisa's embrace, nodded in agreement.
He had already arranged with the Adventurers' Guilds and governing bodies in several nations he'd visited to help purchase Primogems at a fixed price—120,000 Mora per gem—through long-term procurement agreements.
The results were actually quite good.
Every country was able to purchase around one to two hundred Primogems over time. After all, the fixed rate of 120,000 Mora per Primogem was about 20,000 higher than the market price, making it an appealing deal for many adventurers.
Nolan was planning to stop by the Adventurers' Guild later and ask Katheryne how many Primogems had been acquired. It had already been a month since he last asked her about it.
Logically speaking, with that much time passing, there should be a decent amount collected by now.
He stayed in Acting Grand Master Jean's office for a little over ten minutes. While Lisa clung to him playfully, he waited for Eula to finish reporting the Beast Realm matters, and then teleported her back to the base there.
With nothing else pressing, Nolan teleported back again, said goodbye to Jean and Lisa, and began heading out of the Knights' headquarters.
His destination: the Adventurers' Guild—to collect the Primogems.
Just as he stepped out of the gate, he bumped into Noelle walking in, broom in hand. The morning sun fell gently on her sweet face, and Nolan could tell she seemed to be in a rather good mood.
"Good morning, Noelle," he waved and greeted her.
"Eh? Honorary Knight, what brings you to the Knights today?" Noelle asked in surprise.
"I completed a commission for the Knights and came to collect the payment from Acting Grand Master Jean," Nolan explained casually before adding, "By the way, how did your knight selection go? Did you pass?"
As he spoke, he walked up to Noelle and suggested they sit on the bench by the roadside outside the Knights' building—after all, chatting at the entrance wasn't the most proper thing to do.
Noelle leaned her broom against the bench and gracefully placed her hands over her skirt-covered knees, saying,
"The knight selection ended last week. I passed the physical tests easily, but the results for the written exam haven't come out yet. I'm not sure if I passed that part."
Every year, a large number of Mondstadt citizens take part in the knight selection.
It was normal that the theoretical exam results were delayed—they needed to write essays and answers that would be graded collectively later, unlike the physical exams which could be evaluated on the spot.
Nolan understood and nodded.
"So how did you feel during the exam? Were any of the questions particularly difficult?"
"It wasn't too bad."
A smile surfaced on Noelle's fair face as she continued,
"Thanks to Miss Lisa—remember the day after you and Miss Barbara brought me back to the Knights? I went to the library like usual to help clean.
"Miss Lisa found out I was taking the knight exam and personally taught me how to distinguish between good and evil in people. She kept teaching me right up until the day of the exam.
"When I was answering the theory questions, I realized it wasn't as hard as I'd imagined. After finishing, I recited my answers to Miss Lisa, and she said I most likely passed!"
As expected, when it comes to teaching, someone like Lisa—a true scholar—was far more effective than he could ever be.
Nolan was pleasantly surprised. He hadn't expected something even his attributes couldn't solve would be so easily handled by Lisa.
"Oh, right—this is all thanks to the teleportation ability you gifted me, Honorary Knight! With it, Miss Lisa was able to stay in touch with me at all times and help clear up my doubts!"
"As thanks... I'd like to make afternoon tea for you both, myself!"
Noelle clenched her fists in excitement, her eyes shining as she looked at Nolan.
