Void Star Sea.
Several visitors arrived in this lonely world that resembled the starry sky itself. When they laid eyes on the gigantic All-Devouring Narwhal, they couldn't help but feel a trace of astonishment.
"So this is the All-Devouring Narwhal? I've only ever seen it in documentaries," Asta exclaimed with a soft "wow," an almost irresistible urge rising within her to step forward and touch it.
"Search results: the last recorded appearance of a wild All-Devouring Narwhal was one hundred and twenty-seven years ago, in the 'Kalei Star System,'" Screwllum said while also gazing at the whale.
"That was a fully mature specimen. After devouring stellar energy, it plunged the entire system into an ice age. A few days later, it was captured by the Corporation."
"Truly a dangerous creature," Herta remarked indifferently, looking up at the whale's single horn.
"Indeed. But it's already under my control now, so there's absolutely no danger," Nolan said, nodding before turning his gaze toward Ruan Mei.
"Ms. Ruan Mei, I'll transfer control of it to you right now."
As he spoke, he took two steps forward, stopping in front of the All-Devouring Narwhal. With a simple motion, he altered the contents of the previously set Command Seal—changing it from obeying Nolan's orders to absolutely obeying Ruan Mei's commands.
"And that's all it takes?" Ruan Mei asked curiously, watching as Nolan merely touched the whale once before withdrawing his hand.
"Yes. From now on, it will act according to your instructions," Nolan replied, briefly explaining the nature of the Command Seal ability.
"Quite an ingenious method," Ruan Mei said softly, giving a slight nod. She found Nolan's ability—using the target's own power to bind itself—rather commendable.
[Ruan Mei Has Developed Good Feelings Toward You. Obtained 620 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.5 (220/500)]
Seeing the affection notification, Nolan wasn't surprised. Handing over the All-Devouring Narwhal so straightforwardly, it was only natural that she would develop a bit of goodwill toward him.
"Then, please explain what it is you need my help with," Ruan Mei continued.
"For our civilization, this matter is a bit troublesome, but for Ms. Ruan Mei, it should be nothing more than a small task," Nolan said with a smile, offering a bit of flattery as he went on to explain in detail the issue of Fontainians being dissolved by the Primordial Sea Water.
"Using the power of the Primordial Sea to reenact elemental spirits as humans… the planetary god's idea wasn't bad, but it does have some flaws," Ruan Mei said after listening, already having a clear understanding.
The simplest solution would naturally be to have the existence that held the planet's Authority of Hydro handle the matter—by far the most effortless approach.
However, from what Nolan had said, that Authority had been split into two parts, and restoring it to a complete state would require one of the holders to make a sacrifice.
In that case, the method was far from perfect.
The second approach would be to use her own power, as was done in the past in that world, to carry out a large-scale reenactment of life.
This, too, was quite simple. Similar to re-evolving blood through the Authority of Hydro, except she would not rely on absolute control over water to reconstruct blood.
Instead, she would take the life information inherent to those humans—everything except the blood imitated by the Primordial Sea Water—as a foundation, and reenact it once more.
Reconstructing a complete strand of life information, one that included normal human blood.
Then, this set of life information would be input into those humans' cells, allowing their bodies to naturally produce blood.
Because this newly formed blood would be born naturally from their own bodies, there would be no rejection reaction.
In this way, the Primordial Sea Water could be gradually replaced. Once the transformation was complete, there would no longer be any need to worry about being dissolved by it.
However, this method had a minor drawback.
For a normal human body, a full cycle of blood replacement takes about four months. During that period, Ruan Mei would have to remain on that planet to maintain the temporarily input life information.
If the distance was too great, she would be unable to sustain that life information.
Moreover, she still had the Simulated Universe project to research, so it was naturally impossible for her to stay on another planet for several months.
If some other method were used to forcibly accelerate the humans' blood renewal, it could cause adverse effects on their bodies.
For example, it might shorten cellular lifespan, or leave their bodies weakened.
Because of this, the method seemed somewhat unsuitable. After thinking for a moment, Ruan Mei came up with several other solutions.
One option was to use genetic agents to optimize the bodies of Fontainian humans at the genetic level, allowing them to naturally produce normal blood.
This could achieve the same effect as the previous plan, without requiring her to remain on-site the entire time.
However, during the process of genetic modification, the human body would experience discomfort—vomiting, pain, dizziness, and the like were all normal reactions. It could not be done subtly or without anyone noticing.
This might cause panic or other negative effects within that nation.
Another option was for her to extract the Authority of Hydro from one of its holders and transfer it to the other.
The soul is the most important part of any living being, and her research in this area was naturally quite profound.
Removing the Authority of Hydro that had fused with a soul without causing harm was not impossible—it would depend on the specifics of how deeply they were fused.
Ruan Mei explained all the methods she had thought of, along with their respective advantages and disadvantages, and left the choice to Nolan.
Nolan naturally preferred the option with the least disturbance. If the issue could be resolved quietly through the Authority of Hydro, that would be ideal.
That meant the final plan.
Separating the Sovereign Dragon's Authority from Focalors and returning it to Neuvillette, allowing him to reenact the blood of the Fontainians.
Presumably, Focalors would not mind losing the Hydro Sovereign Dragon's Authority within her, since she had once been prepared to sacrifice herself in order to separate it.
Even so, the exact method would still need to be discussed with Focalors. She was the one directly involved, and the decision ultimately had to be hers.
Thus, Nolan immediately used the Waymark to contact Focalors, explaining all of the plans and letting her decide.
He received a response very quickly.
As expected, Focalors also leaned toward the final plan. After all, the purpose of the Sovereign Dragon's Authority to her was to save Fontaine.
Nolan then relayed Focalors' decision to Ruan Mei.
"I understand."
Ruan Mei nodded, then walked over to the All-Devouring Narwhal and lightly touched it.
The enormous whale instantly transformed into light, rapidly compressing until it became a marble-sized point of radiance, which was then stored away.
She looked at Nolan.
"Now, I can accompany you to meet that planetary god and see if we can resolve the problem directly."
"Sure." Nolan also hoped it could be settled as quickly as possible. He turned to Herta, Screwllum, and Asta.
"Would you like to come visit my home planet as well?"
Whether it was Ruan Mei, Herta, or Asta, their affection toward him was already above Level Five, so there was no need to worry about them exposing Teyvat.
Although he couldn't see Screwllum's affection value, they could be considered friends. As a principled gentleman, he likely wouldn't harm a friend's interests.
More importantly, as a top-tier genius of the universe, Screwllum was hardly lacking in resources.
Even if Teyvat was rich in materials, it was still just a single planet—most likely not something that would catch his eye.
There was little need to worry about him betraying a friend's interests so rudely.
And above all, given Nolan's current strength, he already had the confidence to deal with all kinds of unexpected situations.
