Seeing my father getting ready in a fighting position I also get ready as I recall all the hand-to-hand combat experience I had in that life.
"Good stance."
Father comments as his mana starts to flare up, reaching the same level as mine it stops as the ground below him cracks a little.
"Thanks for the compliment."
With that I also allow my mana to flow through the entirety of my body enhancing it, I am not using any enhancement magic currently as this is the test of my skill.
"Ok, then son. 3...2...1 get ready."
With that, the battle begins.

There is silence in the arena as Neo and Nexus look at each other, both of them waiting for the other to move.
Seeing this Nexus smiled as he closed his eyes, seeing his father doing this Neo got ready for the coming battle.
Kicking the ground with force Nexus appeared in front of Neo with his hands balled up in a fist ready to punch Neo in the face.
Quickly reacting to it, using advantage of his smaller body Neo quickly dodges it as he tries to punch Nexus in the stomach.
Grabbing the approaching hands Nexus throws Neo in the air as he punches him, blocking the approaching punch with both of his hands he is sent flying backward.
Balancing himself in mid-air Neo lands on the ground safely as he moves his hands a little that are shaking due to the punch he withstood.
"Good reflexes."
Nexus praises as he waits for his son to get ready.
"Thanks"
Neo replies, then putting his strength in his leg he rushes toward Nexus and punches him.
Using one of his hands to block Neo's attack he counters back, and Neo blocks it.
Both of them do not stop as a game of attacking and blocking continues.
"Very good was that life of your a brawler."
Nexus asks as punches Neo in the face, balancing himself so that he doesn't fall due to the punch Neo manages to land a kick on his father's stomach.
"Yes, I was."
Neo replies as he dodges his father's counter-attack.
"I huh, My son in what light do you view that life as."
Nexus asks as he blocks Neo's punch, after grabbing his hands he lifts him up in the air and kicks him in the stomach.
"Blaa"
Vomiting some water Neo is thrown back as he falls to the ground, quickly standing up he rushes to attack his father again.
"In what light huh, well to be truthful I take that life as my last life."
Neo replies as he throws a punch toward Nexus.
"Last life,.. hmm, did you have any attachment in that world."
Nexus asks as he dodges Neo's attack and taking advantage of the position he had he gives a round kick to Neo with he blocks with both of his hands.
"Not really, after all that life was too. ....."
Neo replies as he gets back his balance and dodges the punch thrown by his father.
"Hmm, then why re you calling it your last life then."
Nexus asked truly perplexed, after all, if Neo's thought on that life is like this why does he still call it his last life?
"It's simple father, because that life is also part of my complete soul, so it is also something that makes me who I am."
Neo replies with a smile on his face as he manages to escape his father's barrage of attacks and gives a counterattack.
"HAHAHA, that's my son."
Nexus laughs after hearing Neo's replies as he blocks his attack. As a father, he couldn't be more happy as his son didn't run from his responsibilities.
After all the moment he chose to keep those memories he had also taken responsibility for that life, he had taken all the karma either good or bad of that person.
Nexus knew that the moment he let his son have those memories both of those people who shared those memories would be no more and a new being would be created.
And that New being is the Neo in front of him, after all even though he is the same Neo, Nexus knew he was also different.
But just how different Nexus wasn't sure.
"Ok, Let's stop for now."
Nexus said as he put Neo's fist down.
"Ok."
Neo said as his nerves calmed down, taking deep breaths he sat on the ground.
Sitting next to his son Nexus handed him a bottle.
"Thanks."
Saying that Neo took the bottle and took a sip of the drink inside of it. His face changed as he put the bottle down.
"Bitter."
Neo complained as he looked at the reddish blue colored liquid in the bottle.
"Well, it is the combination of Flames Serpent venom and the blood of the toad lord."
Nexus replied as he chuckled a little seeing his son's face.
"I see, so an elixir."
Neo mumbled as he took a sip of it again, although it was bitter it was also a 10-star rank elixir.
Quite high ranking, as normal enhancement items go from 1-star which is the lowest, to 10-star which is the highest. Well, that is for normal elixir as there are still rankings above that.
Feeling that his mana is regenerating faster and his body is getting stronger Neo sat in a meditative position.
Seeing this Nexus channeled some of his mana into his son's body so as to speed up the process.
It worked wonders as in a matter of minutes Neo's body digested all the effects of the elixir.
"How are you feeling."
Nexus asked as he looked at his son.
"A bit lighter."
Neo replied as he stood up and did some shadowboxing.
"Any changes to your mana quality or quantity."
"Not really, after all, Father you should know how hard it is to increase those."
Neo replied to his father's question as he sat down on the ground again.
"Well, I guess after all we both have the same quality and quantity rank, even with our difference in rank."
Nexus said as he focused his mana on his hands. Lightning surged throughout his hands as he did a simple punch.
Although it was simple a giant beam of lightning stretched forward disappearing into the horizon. The ground touched by the lightning had melted as a long road of molten magma was formed.
Feeling the destruction of the world quickly got into motion as all the damages started to get repaired.
Seeing this power Neo couldn't help but be baffled, after all even though he knew Mana Demigods were strong. He didn't think a causal punch from such a being could do this much damage.
In fact, this seemingly normal punch could even destroy the entirety of the Lionheart city except the castle.
