King max stalked away with a furious expression,his lips pressed together and brows furrowed in a mockery of dismay though unable to hide the sparkle in his eyes that betrayed his true feelings but no one noticed this.
All the kings present had left the field immediately,each eager to find the missing prince in their kingdoms and in no short time the messenger hawks bearing information to their respective commanders had been released.
The king of Urah had sent a telepathic message and all his knights had gathered in his palace courtyard before sending them out in groups to specific areas in urah leaving only a few to march with him.
"I know you have him Dark...where are you keeping him?"King Max called out to the sorceror via a telepathic link.
"Your majesty....at the aboundoned cold caves at the border".
The king stopped in his tracks before turning to the knights behind him.
"To cover more grounds we should split up...the prince could be anywhere in Delvin...You lot should search the Northern provinces...General Umyri!"He called out and a middle aged semonio stepped out before slightly bowing his head.
"Your majesty!"
"Take half of the Knights with you to search half the Northern provinces,the rest leaves with general Daefang for the other half of the northen provinces".
"Yes your majesty but there would be none left to accompany you".the general replied,his head still bowed low.
The king raised an irritated brow.
"What is it to you?...I do not need company to meet the emperor".he responded.
King max faded from sight and appeared in his study to get a branch of fripju lily before teleporting
to the entrance of the cave.
Dark had picked Urah of all places to hide an imperial prince,such he thought was a foolish decision at first but now he could see why.
The cold air and snow had completely interfered with his sense of smell that he couldn't smell the sorceror until he emerged from the shadows.
"Have you no sense of compassion left in you?...the cold here might kill him even before we do".King max jestered.
Dark scoffed before grinning widely.
"Isn't that we all want?either way he dies".
"How in the world were you able to use such an ancient spell.. and at a such perfect occasion.I must say,you are full of suprises"The king said,his eyes glistening in delight,unable to hide his excitement.
"There has been a change of plans"
Dark raised an inquisitive lash.
"To his majesty,this child means the world,doesn't that make you wonder?this child or his throne which would he choose?"
"Hmmm!....I didn't know you had eyes on the throne".
"I believe he is no longer fit to rule for he has already chosen destruction over his people...now tell me if not me who else is fit to rule?"
"What then happens, I won't let him live!".
King Maxmillian chuckled.
"Once I have the throne you will get want you desire and more right before sunset".
Dark considered this for a moment.
Deep down he didn't want king Maxmillian to rule rather he was included in the long list of people he desired to get rid of but as long as he could have his revenge on the imperial family,who sits on the throne won't matter to him.
Killing the king could wait.
"Hmmm....do you a plan?"
King max's mouth stretched into a wide grin,his teeth flashing.
"I never run out of plans".
Dark chanted a spell and they both appeared somewhere deeper in the cave where Ramses sat in a corner,both legs and hands tied together.
The cave was dark except for a flame igniting on a torch on the icey wall which only managed to illuminate where he layed on the cold ice floor.
Ramses opened his eyes the instant they appeared,his sapphire eyes glaring at them like a jewel about to explode.
From where the king stood the humongous amount of mana emanating from him was enough to make a normal person pass out,it made him feel dizzy and his aura and smell was entirely eerie.
He smelt different compared to when he was with Tyran perhaps the emperor had pulled some kind of trick to conceal this.
The king's eyes however remained stuck on his silver hair,only the evident abnormality about his appearance.
"What is he?"King max asked the sorceror via telepathy.
"If not Something that shouldn't exist,I have no idea"
"And how in the world is he unbothered by such extreme temperatures,I could say he looks rather comfortable here"The king told dark via telepathy before drawing further away from him into a darker part of the cave to prevent being seen.
He had a piece of black clothing to conceal his nose and lips but his eyes,which was a good source of recognition were exposed.
"Young lad..."Dark called out as crouched low before pulling out the piece of clothing covering his mouth.
"I believe you should address me as your royal highness empty brain!"Ramses snapped,his huge eyes glaring in rage."And you dare tie me up?...You don't even know royalty when you see one...tssskkk!!..turns out you are just a big_for _nothing oaf!"
King Maxmillian's jaw dropped at his words before blinking twice to take in the child's features again.
He looked three at most.
A child his age shouldn't know this much or speak this much and so fluently at that.
The Sorceror's brows furrowed as he raised his hand to hit him but stopped half way.
"You don't scare me!"Ramses spat before looking the king's way."You there why have you no scent come out here if you dare!"
"You talk big for your age..."Dark mumbled then rose to his feet"While at it,don't make these hands hit you because if they do,they won't stop till you breathe your last".
Dark vanished from sight to appear few moments later carrying a plate of cold soup.
He placed it before Ramses then crouched low, staring into his eyes.
"I don't know what you are but if you don't eat you would die before I get the chance to kill you".
Ramses huffed then stared into the plate,his nose twitching for a moment,he cringed before his tongue fell out in disgust.
"Blllluuuaahh!!...How come it smells exactly like you?"
"What!"
"Wait_that's no surprise seeing filth can only produce filt...too bad I eat food_not filth".Ramses abruptly turned the other way when suddenly a loud rumble was heard from his stomach and the sorceror had noticed this.
"Ohhhh!!ooo!...filthhhh?!!"Dark scoffed.
He got to his feet with a crooked smile on his face before shattering the plate against the wall, spilling it's contents,then a wild chuckle escaped his lips.
"You are beyond welcomed to stave...little insect!!!"
"Insect??!!...Tsskk!coming from a big good for nothing boar!"Ramses shot back, exposing a set of tiny fangs.
"Untire me if you dare and see if you won't breathe your last".
A loud laughter broke across the cave that king Max didn't know when he laughed out loud,his laughter trailing after dark's stopped.
"So you finally open that mouth of yours....you hide in the shadows because you are someone close to my father aren't you?...what's the matter,scared I'll expose you if I leave here aliv_"Ramses was interrupted by the piece of clothing dark shoved into his mouth.
He struggled while mumbling a few inaudible words his eyes clearly betraying the fact he was raining unvoiced curses on them.
"After sunrise tomorrow I will meet with the emperor and ask him to abdicate the throne...The scarlet prince is on the search right now,we must act fast or sooner or later they will get to him."King max told Dark via telepathy,his gaze serious.
"Watch him closely...he is just like an adult stuck in a child's body,expect anything".
He took one last glance at the ropes on Ramses his eyes laden with suspicions.
"Will those ropes hold him?".
"Tiny hands cant fit into anti-mana cuffs".Dark raised a cuff in his hand.
"Hmm!!...I wouldn't be surprised if he has already awoken his abilities...go get you some nice big chains".The king snorted,his eyes narrowed.
"But that's impossible_"
"He is impossible!...whatever he is...he appears very smart and mischievous.if possible do not leave his side"the sides of his lips curved into a smile"I should leave right now,I think someone might need the comfort of a friend".
